great recount of history

This is such a wonderful recount of an important piece of history and WW2. It is because of the Monuments Men (and women) that I and millions of others have been blessed to continue to enjoy priceless art throughout Europe.

Nice Read. Learned so much.

Such good people in the world, a great story of their battle. Hard to keep track of the dates, luckily I had a hard copy to refer to.

Monumental Accomplishment

After having seen the George Clooney film, The Monuments Men, this book brought a much greater appreciation of the depths and difficulties involved in locating and securing such treasures. It was wonderfully told.
