My only real complaint is how short it was

Great continuation of the series!
Excellent world building, expanding on character development, enjoying the now back sizzle of the conspiracy.
I must say, I do enjoy the speed at which these books are created by working with a stable of authors. My only true problem is that they end up VERY SHORT!
I like supporting authors and their creative endeavors, but when there are numerous books with a more expansive story that maybe 15 or more hours, these "short" stories rankle a little.
I would very much like to see some omnibus collections after a year or so after, say, every 3rd book. Just a suggestion.

Boy this series got a case of the dumbs
Spoilers below….
Battles and such are fine, but this book was all about nonsensical intrigue that was hard to care about. Jumping the main protagonist from Commodore to Admiral was simply silly and very lazy writing. What a shame.
