Ready to bingelisten to Xio's backlist now

There is so much to love in this story. The characters absolutely come alive on the page through beautifully expressed inner monologue, authentic dialogue, witty banter, and deep and delicate emotional discoveries and interactions. The flow and pacing of the story is perfection, allowing the reader to really sink into the situations Toni, Seb, and their supporting cast of characters create and navigate. This was an excellent introduction to Xio Axelrod's writing and storytelling. I cannot wait to read and listen to more of her books.

I truly enjoyed this audiobook. I fell in love with Tamika Simone's narration instantly. She brings not only Toni to life, but brings depth to every character she portrays. It took me a little longer to get into Seb's character, but once I did, he quickly found a place in my heart too.

Great story

Loved the story and the characters. The male voice actor was a bit too much for me though.

This is the kind of book I craved as a teenager. Now in my 30s, I can’t wait to share this book with my future daughter.

xio brings all her music industry love and knowledge to this book and weaves it seamlessly w a hot friends to lovers storyline. loved the writing.

Xio Axelrod is a new to me author who became a go-to author with this book. She is incredibly talented. I thoroughly enjoyed the read. Looking forward to book two!

Predictable story

It was cute but predictable. The male narrator was not for me. Didn’t enjoy him at all and that may have took from the story but whatever

The characters are believable and well written, and the story arc works quite well. Highly recommend.

This is such a great book, fresh new take that I enjoyed reading, I said reading, because I couldn't not get through the audiobook after 45 minutes of the male narrator!!! I was prepared to spend the next 2 weeks listening on my commute but he ruined it for me. Great story and I will be reading more from this author!
