Publisher's Summary

When a body is found buried near the desolate forest road of Kellers Way, Detective Melanie Carter must identify the victim if she is to have any chance of finding the killer. That's no easy task with fragmentary evidence from a crime committed years earlier and a conspiracy of silence from anyone who might have information. The one person who may be able to help is Julie West.

In a troubled marriage, Julie often jogs along Kellers Way to clear her mind and escape the confines of her suffocating suburban life. Until one day, something happens there that shakes Julie to the core, making her question everything she ever believed about her life, her marriage and even her sanity....

Returning for my credit

I really enjoyed The Escape Room and hoped to follow it with another from Goldin, but I absolutely cannot listen to this book one more minute. I’m maybe ten minutes in and if I have to continue to hear the narrators gasp for breath after every clause spoken I’m gonna go postal. And the pathologist sounds like a valley girl. What the hell. Just awful.

Good story but the narrator miss pronounces most words

The plot was unique and entertaining but the ending was abrupt and disappointing. The narrator mispronunciations sooo many words that it is distracting and annoying. The very first sentence has a mispronounced word and goes downhill from there

the worst ending I have ever read. Terrible narration. I am tired of the "Crazy Broad" plotline.

Wow, what a surprise

There is a really stimulating storyline and I loved the alternative chapter representations of the two main characters. I fell in love with the voice of Julie, who read her piece perfectly. I suspected the outcome, but not until late into the book but I was never really sure of it until the very end. I'm looking out for further books by Megan.

Total disappointment

I really didn't enjoy this book. The narration was so annoying especially the voice of the little girl. I was constantly rolling my eyes, with the story line. I was so irritated by the way the author over described everything that wasn't nessasary to the story line. I found the ending such a disappointment, it had every chance to be a great double twist but no such luck.

WOW

I thought it was a good from the beginning. Nice little twist at the end. Along the lines of some of the great physiological thrillers

Not as gripping as The Escape Room, but ok

A Good Listen...but Underwhelming

The Girl in Kellers Way is entertaining to listen to. A good story with good characters.

However I personally found it very predictable. While there are definitely some surprises, the bulk of the plot is stock standard when it comes to these kind of storylines (in my experience).

Not to say it was bad, just not outstanding. I did enjoy listening to it.

I did not enjoy the narrator of the detective, finding the voice irritating and nasally. The other narrator is great.

I was prepared to give this novel a slightly higher rating, but the ending... it was not good. Very unsatisfying.

Overall, it's not a *bad* novel, and at the length it is, I would recommend it to anyone who can't find anything better to read. It would be a good 'fast read' on an airplane or by the beach.
However when comparing it to some other wonderful novels I have read recently in this genre, it just doesn't compare. Half-hearted applause for this one.

Loved it kept wanting to know what would happen next. I jumped from person to person not knowing who it was. What happens afterwards?

Great story

The main narrator was fantastic but the one reading the detective had very loud breaths in between sentences which was irritating.
