I definitely enjoyed this novel. It is charming and well written. As we all know the narrator can make an average book better or make an excellent book impossible to listen to. Rebecca Lowman is excellent, absolutely perfect for this story. It is a pleasing listen.

I enjoyed this book so much!
Lovely writing, leaves you wanting more.
I saw some reviews upset about the ending but don’t let that discourage you from reading/listening because the ending is sweet and leaves you room to imagine what happens next.
Definitely going to read more books from Sara Addison A.
The narration was great! Rebecca is talented in giving the characters their own voice/personality,really helps paint the picture, even when she reads male character lines it doesn’t sound like she’s trying too hard to sound masculine she does a great job with every character, will be listening to more of her narrations for sure!

Needs a sequel

Never wanted it to end, will there be a sequel it sure needs one so we can follow the magic, what will happen next?

A food lovers love story!

Now, I am not a big fan of reviews with spoilers, after all they are reviews, not book reports. With that said I have to admit that when I first heard about this book, I was a little skeptical. I was looking for something different, something to pull me out of the murder, crime and paranormal romance books that I’ve been reading for years. So when a friend of mine suggested I read this book I made the leap and purchased the audio book. WOW is all I have to say. The story line is simple and beautiful; there is magic, love, loss and oh yeah …. FOOD, OMG I think I gained 5 lbs while listening to this book! I would go home everyday craving BBQ sandwiches and I even logged on line to find some of the cake recipes mentioned in the book, which author’s website so graciously provides! With excellent attention to detail and description the end of the book left me feeling satisfied and very food passionate.

Ok if you like mystic love stories but not a lot of depth.

I thought this book was a little heavy on cliches. A swoony innocent teenager, a not-really-rebellious rebellious lady who'd never married, and a weird story about glowing people with not much depth or reasoning behind it, but it had just enough of a story and description for me to make it through to the end.
