Publisher's Summary

British. Charming. Virgin.

Reed Windsor doesn't do relationships. Though he could charm the pants off any girl he wants, he's not interested. He's always been too captivated by a special someone from his past to get serious with anyone else. Sure, she has no clue he exists, but he's willing to bide his time and convince her he's worth a shot.

Sassy. Beautiful. Way out of his league.

Charlie Oded is full of baggage - being left at the altar will do that to a woman. Having zero time for distractions, she's not looking for...well, anything. She needs time to heal her heart, not another guy to string her along. Which is why when she meets the alluring Reed, she's determined to keep things friendly.

But he makes her heart race and she makes him want to settle down. And neither of them wants to walk away.

Reed's never wanted a relationship, but Charlie's changed the game, and he's willing to play if she is.

Honey Dripping Sweet With Waffles & Whipped Cream!

The Girl Behind The Red Door is a whimsical, and witty listen with a enchanting prologue. A serendipity romantic comedy that reveals Charlie & Reed have a much older, deeper connection that began when they were children when Reed's family spent their summers across the road from the girl behind the red door. For Reed Windsor, Charlie is "The girl of his dreams". Reed's character comes with a bit of mystery. With unexpected twists brewed with supporting character's that play a intricate role as well as they mesh together. Chemistry between these characters is visible. The Supernatural references in this real life fairytale romance were joyous. A sweet piquant tale involving waffles and whipped cream.

Narrator Steve Campbell's british accent is deep, clear-cut and smooth. I love British accents and it was a fruition to listen to.
Sarah Puckett narrates this beautiful tale in a way that brings the character's and narative to reality. Together, these narrators complement each other & the tone and pace flows through smoothly.

Tell me something real!

This book caught me off guard. I didn't know what I was expecting, but once I began listening, I just could not stop. Cassie Graham had me caught up in the lives of Reed and Charlie. Charlie Odet is a woman who has been hurt. Left at the alter, she has used her situation to launch a successful jewelry business. She goes back to school to complete her education and becomes wrapped up in senior, Reed Windsor. What a man, he remembers Charlie from his childhood and has had a crush on her forever. Now is his chance to really get to know her and their relationship slowly builds. This story of love, flirtation, second chances and all around good feelings will make you believe there is someone out there for you. There are definitely a few surprises, but the warmth and feelings this story evokes kept me enraptured til the very end. I loved it and will look for more by Graham.

Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell nail this narration. Puckett has her emotional voice for this one, as we get to know and live through Charlie's struggles. I love that she can give the feels of uncertainty as well as the warmth of love in her inflections. Campbell is new to me, and I fell in love with his voice. His English accent along with his intonation and cadence sucked me in and had me in love with Reed from the first meeting. The two together are magic.

Incredible Listen!

The Girl Behind the Red Door is spectacular! I love how Cassie Graham wrote such a lovely story that evolves out of something horrific. Being left at the alter is something any woman would dread. Charlie in this story did such a wonderful way of overcoming that devastation. The character of Reed is such an endearing guy. I loved the unexpected twists, incredible chemistry, vivid imagery, witty humor and references to waffles. Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell are incredible in this book. They brought the characters to life. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and both narrators. Second chance romance is one of my very favorite storylines, and this book is outstanding!

Cassie Graham may be my Spirit Animal

*Spoiler Alert* I do include some spoilers below in this review.

I received this audiobook from a giveaway by one of the narrators on AudioLoves Facebook Page. This is my first Cassie Graham novel and the first time listening to an audio book narrated by Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell. To say that i was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. I am pretty sure that Cassie Graham might be my spirit animal.

I like to listen to audiobooks when i put my son to sleep, and i was between books so i turned this one on and was introduced to Charlie who is left by her fiancé at her wedding in the prologue. I instantly love that the heroine has a "boys name". It my thing (when i was 4 i got to pick my sister's middle name, i chose Corey) and it is the authors too, because throughout the novel this theme persists with a variety of girls with boys names.

Then we meet Reed (hello British accent!) who is a theater kid and I fall a little more for this book i grew up in theater and can relate to the eccentricity that theater people bring to social interactions. Not only that, but the play they are doing is an original musical based on Outlander! (Yes please! i love me some Jamie Fraser!) The play does continue to be a part of the story, but I found myself hoping for more information about the play itself, interactions with the cast and director. It became part of the setting rather than part of the story.

I really enjoyed Reed and Charlie's meet cute and the development of their relationship, but the moment I realized i was going to love this story was when Charlie mentioned the show Supernatural. Not only was it mentioned, but there were conversations about it, a viewing scene and references and quotes from the show. I had to text all my friends who are part of the SPN Family because that was so cool! I looked up Cassie Graham's profile to find that she is a big fan as well (which makes sense)

I would have enjoyed more time spent on their physical relationship, especially the first time. Reed admits that he is a virgin and then they go straight into intercourse, no foreplay, no exploration. I would have liked to see them go a little slower, taking their time, especially since they were friends before they were more.

Overall this was an enjoyable book with enough suspense and drama that it wasn't completely predictable, and a swoon worth hero. The narration by Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell was great!! Highly recommend this read :)

Sweet and Heartwarming!

I really fell hard for this funny, sweet and heartwarming romance. Charlie has been through so much in her that has made her a warrior. She changes her heartbreak into something that helps others. To make her business more successful, she takes classes at the local college. This is where she meets Reed, the sexy Brit who makes her believe in love again. Reed wants Charlie from the moment he sees her. He is so sweet and patient with her, allowing her to slowly let down her guard for him. They have so much fun together and their growing feelings and attraction, make their sizzling chemistry explode. I also liked all their friends and family who added more fun and warmth to this story. I was a little frustrated with the drama towards the end but really loved it as a whole.
This story was made even better by Sarah Puckett, and Steve Campbell's beautiful narration. They made each character come alive, allowing me to feel all their fun, fear, anticipation, anxiety, and love. I always enjoy Pucketts' work, but this is my first listen to Campbell. I really loved his performance and will check out more of his work.

Charming! 💞

Very Charming!!
First, the narration was absolutely amazing. Both narrators were great!
The story had a very strong beginning, but for me was missing a little something in the middle and then picked up again towards the end, with a wonderful HEA.
I don’t want to say more about that because I don’t review with spoilers. I feel like this book could be a part of a series using the introduced characters in this book. If so, I will be reading/listening to book 2.

Let love fix you

This is a very great audio. It’s a slow burn lobe romance. Both characters were great so opposites and at the same time both alike that they will be like a whole together. Reed and Charlie’s characters were great together.
Reed was drawn to Charlie but he doesn’t know why . Just that he seems to know her spirit.
Charlie became a independent women after a heartbreak when her fiancé dumped her right before their wedding. Charlie forged on and made a company worthy of herself and the other hurting women out there .
Once Reed and Charlie connect , and he finds out her deepest fears , Reed becomes patient with Charlie and makes her see that when she opens the door a little she is still strong and he will help her .
The love between the two is strong and powerful.

Both Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell were great together. Love how the voices flowed great and strong and clear throughout the audio

Red headed love

Sweet British theater actor and a sweet girl next door. This is a very sweet story of helping someone over coming pain of their past. Charlie is not looking for love, nor is Reed. Come to find out that Reed is a virgin and is failing hard and fast for the girl he grew up with during the summer. Reed broke her trust by not telling Charlie the truth will she be able to overcome the hurt again?

A sweet and heartwarming romance

The narrators did an amazing job of bringing this story to life. For me, the story seemed to start off slow after the prologue, but it began picking up by the fourth chapter. Charlie and Reed’s story is a low angst, sweet, heartwarming read. The characters were very likable and were pretty normal people. It was also a pretty realistic story about healing after a heartbreak and finding true love. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet, low angst, feel good romance.

Tell me something real

LOVED it, Loved it, Loved it.

This book was really great, it kept my interest from the beginning, and as the chapters went by I couldn't stop listening to it. It was heartwarming, sweet, with a good storyline, and great characters.

Charlie was a strong woman, resilient, clever, cheerful, compassionate and a waffle lover lol...( that everytime they had waffles I craved for one). I loved how she didn't let what happened to her tear her down, instead making something really great out it.

Reed... OMG, he's sweet, caring, lovely, sweet, in a nutshell, he was perfect. I loved the way he is with Charley and how their relationship worked out really well despite the age gap.

And Anakin, just the sweetest addition to the book.

As for the narrattion, it was perfect, both narrattors did a pretty awesome job narrating the book, the pace, their voices, accents, and the way they portrayed the characters emotions was great.

Overall, if you are looking forward listening to a sweet romance with great characters and awesome narrattion, this book is for you.

If you love a great story then you will love this book. Don’t miss Charlie and Reed’s story. Hint Charlie is a girl! Happy reading or listening! **Book Hangover**

What an incredible experience. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Reed and Charlie. This book captured me from the get go. I just could not let it go.
Sarah Puckett and Steve Campbell did a wonderful job with the narration. Sarah Puckett really brought the story to life. Her inflections and nuances really made a difference. Steve Campbell... oohh I love his accent. All in all, this is going to be on my relisten list when I can't find something to grab my attention.

This story was everything for me. Thoroughly enjoyable.
