The most beautiful story I’ve ever heard

Wow. This was without a doubt the best and most beautiful story I’ve ever listened to. It was touching and nostalgic in a way that I cannot fully describe. It made me wish it was longer but it was truly complete. I will probably listen to it over again many times. If you are looking for a beautiful story choose this one. You won’t regret it.

Great story

This short yet interested story is sweet, interesting and shocking at the same time. The reader makes it easy to engage in the story.

Longest two and a half hours ever!

I really don’t get all the beautiful reviews. Story was just short of barely ok. The melodic voice of the narrator was beautiful and certainly helped the story but the writing left a lot to be desired for me. I fell asleep twice.

Fabulous story

I really enjoyed this book. I listened to it through it's entirety while I cleaned house & did some yardwork. I was enthralled by the topic. I didn't want to pause it for a second! The book unfortunately ends abruptly. Hoping for an equally interesting sequel.

Was expecting some sort of mystery

This is a very dialog-heavy story that I would put in the category of romance. I only made it about halfway through. It felt like a condensed version of the Danielle Steele paperbacks my grandmother used to read.

Aciman, the con-master

As with all Aciman's works, I don't know if I love it or hate it, but I can't stop reading/listening. Though I can't help rolling my eyes at his overblown phrases, the exaltation, the voyeuristic passion for young bodies and hearts.
