Narration issue

The narrators voice went up and down so much I couldn't set the volume and just listen. I found it annoying constantly having to adjust it. He didn't stage whisper.

Great story

Good series believable characters but as a born and raised Washingtonian it killed me everytime Puget Sound was pronounced "puh get" instead of "pew jet"

Cool idea and fun story

So I screwed up and listened to this book before the first book in the series—but it still worked. I liked the strange notion of genetic engineering for supernatural capabilities. It was cool. I also liked the rationale of the story’s invasion. It wasn’t obvious and kept me guessing. Unfortunately the other twists were less obscured. I figured out several way before much was explained. I am looking forward to the next books in the story. Recommend for sci-fi fans social, combat or political focus. Two thumbs up.
