The twists at the end saves the book!

I did like the story. There were a few times that it seemed disjointed but the plot was good. The problem, pacing was slow. Any intensity or anticipation fizzled out quickly as a result. I liked the characters tho. There was a bit of repetition but not enough for me to dnf which is what I tend to do with unnecessary repetition. As this start to unravel it’s more about moving characters to the correct positions for the final reveal. It’s either all are likely suspects or it’s the one who is most unlikely to be the suspect, hmmm. Again the end is a jaw dropper. With just a tiny bit of doubt/hope for those of us just wanting a different ending which I think is brilliant!

Narration was really good providing voices for the different characters and reaching emotional ranges!!

Plot twist

I've never been one for fiction but this book kept me on the edge of my seat, in complete surprise of how the story unfolded. Just when I thought I knew what was happening, the author throws in a twist that literally made me not only gasp but brought me to tears. I was totally captivated the entire story. I now want to read more books like this & it's sparked a new passion for me to read more.

Depressing

I usually don’t write reviews- but this book just was depressing. It’s a very well written book - but listening to it for 7 hours- it’s just a long depressing read.
