Instrumental to fostering understanding

Incredible book, which raised my awareness of privacy related debates, legislation, violations, and actions taken within digital spaces. As a parent and fellow human being, I cannot empahiseize enough to review the resources provided at the end.

A Must Read Guide Regarding Privacy

This is a frightening look at privacy violations which have grown exponentially in the last several years. Revenge porn, deepfake software and hidden cameras in supposedly private places are just some of the nightmare scenarios people have been subjected to. A number of years ago there were few laws that would help victims, most notably women. While this still occurs, laws have been enacted in a number of countries around the world to try and stop these actions. While this helps, many are not stringent enough and more work needs to be done. Author Citron covers a wide ranging group of scenarios, cases, facts and more to educate and inform readers about their privacy and how much is being lost. She also offers a number of excellent tips that you can use to try and protect yourself. A book everyone should read.

The Modern Age Is A Minefield

Danielle Citron's The Fight For Privacy should be required reading in schools around the world. Women in particular ought to be reading this book because of how disproportionately high the impact of the exploitative bad acts of Internet-empowered individuals, corporations, and governments is on *them*.

Those who read this book would also do well to read Noam Chomsky's works on government behavior.
