Amaford, a city of prosperity and trade. Merchants flock to it, sailors swear by it, but the people curse its name. For a city of such stature, its dark side runs to its core. Its people struggle to survive the harsh conditions that come with its popularity. More so, the people of its Bridge Districts, or better known as the slums. Story
In Milwaukee, a regular at Vic’s Tavern suddenly smashes a beer bottle and carves up the other customers. In Manhattan, an easygoing cabdriver goes berserk and hurls his cab into a crowd of pedestrians. In Seattle, a young bride slashes her husband in a busy restaurant, then flings herself through a plate-glass window. At first, these shocking incidents appear unrelated. Then a disturbing pattern emerges - the agonizing headaches, the violent tantrums, the faces erupting with sickening lesions, then the final, fatal outburst.

Debts and Bad Pain
I really enjoyed this book. The mixture of graphic horror, drugs and violence, and obscene sex made for a high octane story. Once I started I couldn’t put it down because I needed to find out where the story was taking us. I will say that it is somewhat predictable but that did not make it an inferior story, you just can probably guess where things are going. Even with that the ride is a crazy one that is well worth it. This book is definitely graphic and delves into the dirty and evil sides of some people’s sexual desires. There is graphic sex, humiliation, drug use, torture and a whole list of other vices. Listening mainly to horror novels, I didn’t find any of this to be over the top and while not my thing, the whole ponygirl fetish was kinda interesting. The story is definitely perverse and there are plenty of people who will be absolutely disgusted by this and if you laugh at those people then you will want to check this out. Not that I ever read it, but I would take this book over 50 shades any day. The main character is interesting. He is a complete self-entitled POS, who deserves everything that can come his way. At no point do I relate to him or feel bad for him so while the story spirals to its conclusion I enjoy that he gets his comeuppance. He is really who the story is about and all of the other characters don’t even need to have a name. As this is a horror story there isn’t any real development of his character and is really all about the story itself. I didn’t really care for how the timeline went back and forth between the past and present for the first half of the book. I think it took away from some of the suspense as you learn how bad things have gotten and potentially will get. The past and present are both disturbing so the split timeline doesn’t really even provide much of a tension relief. I have listened to Sean narrate other books and he definitely has a unique style and cadence. I felt like he put a lot of energy and emotion into the main character and really liked how he represented him. Given the graphic nature of this story I am impressed how well he was able to narrate this. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Good. Lord.
This is one for the ages. At least for me. 'The Fetishists' starts out strange and only goes further off the rails from there. I was immediately drawn in and as the story unfolded, I wasn't able to guess at what was coming next. This aspect was incredibly refreshing. This tale is gory, violent, action packed and includes a pretty juicy mystery to unpack. This one, is not, however, for the feint of heart. If you're sensitive to violence (particularly of the sexual variety) I'd definitely steer clear of this one. But for me, A.S. Coomer dug his claws into me and didn't let me go; I loved it. Sean Duregger gives an absolutely fantastic performance here. If you like horror and you can handle some serious gore, dig in. You'll love this one. Strange, bloody and terrifying!
This book was interesting. Like a train wreck you just can't make yourself look away from, you have to keep on listening to find out where the book takes you. The narrator was good and was able to put the right amount of emotion in to the book without going overboard. This book was unusual and the things nightmares are made of, I would recommend not reading this book while your alone at night! The main thing I had a problem with, is the way it just left you hanging in the end, although it was pretty obvious Jefferson was probably not going to make it much longer. A dastardly protagonist and even worse antagonist. This is a pretty extreme story, and not for the squeamish. But if you can appreciate a story within these parameters, it's a good one. Well-performed by Sean Durreger!

Bizarre!
Wow, I'm not quite sure what to say about this book. It is confusing and hard to follow at times as it goes back and forth a lot from past to present. I also didn't quite understand the ending. Jefferson was not a nice guy and, therefore, not likable at all. I didn't really feel bad for the debts and bad pain he had to endure. Horror is not my usual genre but I found the title, cover and blurb a bit intriguing and had to give it a try. I think Sean Duregger did an amazing job bringing all the creepy characters that we encountered in this story to life. Debts and Bad Pain! Not for the faint of heart...
The Fetishists by A.S. Coomer was...crazy? unexpected? not for the faint of heart? sexually explicit? What can I say about this book? Well, it's not really my cup of tea, though I would definitely say that it does fit in well with the classic film noir horror genre...with a good does of some pretty explicit sexual stuff including torture, humiliation, S&M, etc. Jefferson Wellman is a real POS. That being said, he's invited to "bid" on partners at a gathering. He wants a ponygirl. He gets his ponygirl. He wants to hurt and torture his ponygirl. Before he knows it, he wakes up in his own private hell, with bodies everywhere and no clue chat's going on. If this sounds like a fun listen, then check it out! Like I said, it wasn't my cup of tea, but it wasn't a bad story. Make sense? Sean Duregger did a good job with bringing the characters to life with his narration. He changed his voice and inflections to really match what was going on with the characters at any given time and rad with a good cadence. Dark, twisted, and terrifying!
I received this book for free upon my request, I am leaving my honest review. This story was down right strange, starting with someone who had a domineering furry fetish, someone who craves nothing but control. The story went to all sorts of crazy places that I just couldn’t see what was next to come. I couldn’t stop listening all the way to the end. The ending was something almost expected but not entirely, I am left with so many questions unanswered leaving my mind racing wondering who what and where did this all unfold. I was captivated and terrified. The narrator did a brilliant job, my only qualm is I could hear all of his quick bursts of air. That may be the audio technicians fault, or maybe the narrator was too close to the mic, I was able to move past it but it annoyed me greatly in the beginning of the story, I toned it out as the story went on. That being the only reason I gave the performance a 4 instead of 5 star.

Well that was different!
Wasn't sure what to expect when starting but I was pretty much engrossed right away. The story keeps you entertained by switching timelines and the mystery as to what's happened. The book feels as if its in two half's and the second half was definitely darker and more twisted. It went from weird, to dark and then to horrifying. I did really enjoy the book. I had a lot of theories throughout and felt a very "he'll raiser" type vibe to the story. My only criticism was the ending. It seemed to just suddenly stop. I thought there was a bigger twist coming or things would be explained but that wasn't the case. I know some authors and readers prefer more ambiguous endings and for the audience to make up their own minds, but for me personally, I enjoy concluding endings. Where mysteries set out are answered. That's the only reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5, but I would still recommend. As for the narrator, he was fantastic and his voice really suited this type of story. There was a part where he was whispering and it genuinely sounded terrifying!

Original horror with some shocks
I went into this audio book with no expectations, and what I found was a original horror story, which at times was gripping, suspenseful, gory and occasionally made me queasy. It didn't totally grab me, and wasn't totally my cup of tea, yet others who enjoy the work of Eli Roth would enjoy this book. Credit goes to Sean Derugger, who keeps his cool whilst I wouldn't have been able to when reading this. Good job. I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Different to anything I have heard before
This book is completely different to anything I have heard before. I was gripped from the beginning . To be honest the cover is the first thing that intrigued me to want to listen. It is difficult to write a review to explain how much I thoroughly enjoyed this but then again I have always been drawn to the weird and wonderful. It's the type of book where you make your own assumptions as to where the story is going and then you are thrown completely off guard with a twist you never saw coming. I finished the book a few days ago and it has stayed in my mind since which is a rarity for me . I had never heard of the author until I heard of this book but I will definitely be looking into any other publications . I was given this audiobook at my request to the author / narrator and have voluntarily left this review.

A bad trip !
Listening to this audiobook kept reminding me the sentence that you always hear on TV “ This guy is on a bad LSD Trip “. This audiobook truly freaked me up because the author proved me wrong every time that I was sure that I knew what’s coming next, always a new twist. The only thing that I was sure is that the narration will be perfect because I’ve listened more then once to Sean Duregger the narrator of this audiobook. About the book and reviewing it was not simple for me but if you can’t stop thinking about the story way after finishing it then there must be something special there and to get the message that the author wanted to convert I will listen to this audiobook again it’s intriguing and I want to get into his head and understand it all. Also the length of the audiobook was perfect, no waisted words! I’m not a horror fan but this book is more then just horror so yes I do recommend this audiobook.
