The narration is awful

The story is alright, but the narration is awful. The narrator over-emphasises almost every word and after a couple of chapters, it started to work on my nerves.
I should have listened to the sample before I bought this title.

We are so disappointed - we have always been huge Nikki French fans and have been looking forward to this new book for a while.

everything about this audio book was just awful.
As Nicci French fans we couldn’t have been more disappointed
The story was really terrible and the narrator was truly truly bad!
We listen to 2 audiobooks per month and not all audiobooks can be great but we have NEVER heard such agonising, irritating, toe curling, over dramatised (should we carry on) rubbish in our 6 years of listening.
We listened to all or Nikki Frenches available audio books and loved and enjoyed them all except this one
( we will memorise the name of this narrator and put her in our black list aka DO NOT EVER LISTEN YO ANY OF HER WORK AGAIN)
