The perfect neighbours. Or your worst nightmare?

Penny and Jake live in a beautiful home in a beautiful neighbourhood with their beautiful baby boy. It's the perfect life. Except that Penny is desperately lonely and can't shake the feeling that she isn't bonding with her baby like she should be.

So when Celia moves in across the street with her husband, Pete, and their gorgeous children, Penny is delighted to have a friend.

But things aren't quite what they seem behind closed doors. Because Celia and Pete have a secret. And the truth threatens to devastate everyone around them.

A completely gripping psychological suspense that will have you listening long into the night. Perfect for fans of The Family Across the Street, The Woman Next Door and Shari Lapena.

Great story

Kathryn Whitfield’s “The Family at Number 11” is a welcome delight in psychological suspense, perfectly narrated by Olivia Darnley. This British thriller kept me on my toes, with its twisty plot and complex characters. The story follows Penny, a lonely new mom, as she befriends her neighbor Celia, but nothing is as it seems. Whitfield's writing is atmospheric and unsettling, making it hard to distinguish reality from nightmare. The tension builds at a slow pace all the while keeping me guessing until the very end. Darnley’s narration adds to the tension, bringing the characters to life with her brilliant vocals. The themes of motherhood, loneliness and deception are woven together seamlessly, making for a riveting listen. I'm eager to explore more from Whitfield and Darnley. For those who crave British mysteries, grab “The Family at Number 11” now. Highly recommended and worthy of a cherished credit. Epic, indeed!

Not your usual psychological thriller. Fell in love with the heroine and her little family.

Great escape to this modern English village

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I felt her postpartum depression and her nursing pains through the excellent writing. I loved how the plot thickened gradually.
