Where are the strong female characters?
Weak women led by horrible men. No thanks. Tell another story. This one has been played out. Couldn't listen to any more.

Mostly unlikable characters
After a promising start, this book devolved into a study of unlikable characters. Lucia and her daughters illustrate variations of the weak woman whose lives are dominated by an abhorrent and abusive man.
