Publisher's summary

Ty Wilcox doesn’t really believe in superheroes. Then, one is murdered right in front of him.

Enhancer: Book One: Ty is just a normal guy trying to do his best. He’s single, stuck in a dead-end job with the most hateful boss in the universe, and struggling under a mountain of debt.

When he witnesses an impossible battle between two superpowers, every instinct he has tells him to run. Instead, he becomes the owner of a device that can change his life in ways he can barely imagine.

All he has to do is survive for long enough to learn how to use it.

Enhancer: Book Two: Ty Wilcox didn’t really believe in superheroes before he became one himself. Now, he has an incredible power he’s just beginning to understand, lives in a mansion, and is in a relationship with two of the most amazing women alive.

But when a flying, teleporting demon woman appears outside his work, the price of his new life becomes apparent. There’s a supervillain after the device that gives Ty his power. This villain will do anything to get it, and has an entire army at his command.

The price of Ty’s new life is never-ending danger.

Enhancer: Book Three: Ty is no longer the loser he had once been. He’s gone from zero to superhero, all thanks to a device on his wrist that brings a hidden power out into the light. Before Ty came along, only a few of the devices existed. But a secretive villain has learned how to make them, and one of New Lincoln’s most dangerous crime lords has a supply of them as well.

And now, superpower villains - even stronger than Ty - are stepping out of the dark.

The balance of power is changing, and not for the better. Does Ty have the power to stop it, even with his growing team of superheroines at his side?

Warning and minor spoilers: The Enhancer books are intended for mature listeners. They include light game-lit elements, occasional bad language, and are set in a cyberpunk alternate future.

In these stories, you will find attempted murders, actual murder, home invasions, kidnapping, fights, betrayals, destruction of property, random deaths that can be considered self-defense, a really malevolent boss who treats Ty very badly, and a monstrous bad guy who treats him even worse. Most importantly, you will find gorgeous superheroes and beastkin beauties who are comfortable with unconventional, polyamorous, harem relationships, and there are waffles on offer as well.

If you don’t enjoy a good time, these books aren’t for you.

Cyberpunk porno

The setting was the only this I liked about this book. However it seems the author used this as an excuse to write out his cyberpunk sex fantasies, which if you like descriptive sex scene then i guess you wont mind this. Ty (the protaganist) sounded like a whiny little pathetic nerd, which I'm sure is what he was going for and he nailed it. But it was a constant thing, and the narrator only made it worse because he was good at what he did, or maybe thats just how he sounds in real life. The plot was decent although i never got passed the 2nd book, because it was obvious it was leading to a 4-way with Ty, temptest, the deerthing lady, and the demon lady. That type of this isn't for me; maybe I'm just a prude, but i found it utterly ridiculous.

The setting is what peeked my interest cause i was looking for a cool super-hero book but i just couldn't stand the protagonist, the sex scenes were silly to me, reminds me of those fan service animes. I could not identify with any one of those characters. Sorry I'm not a proper critic, i tried to listen but I just couldn't

disappointing

it would be a serviceably average book if it were writen by a 13 year old. Numbingly redundent sentance structure, very little vocabulary varriation, and 2 dimensional characters make it a slog to listen to. I will say the narrator does a decent job given his material, but the book(s) are just painful to get through. Every sentence feels redundant, over explanitory, or otherwise bad. For one credit it could be worth it just to recontextualizes books for you and renew your apprication for competent writing by way of comparison.

Top tier series, hands down!

This entire series is absolutely, undoubtedly, AMAZING! It has completely captivated me from the first moment!

Wyatt Kane did a phenomenal job writing this story, and I truly hope he continues it!

Action, adventure, super heroes with unbelievably epic powers, a relatable MC, and to top it all off, bad ass women! What more could you ask for, seriously!

Chris Graves is easily my favorite narrator ever, the way he does each voice...WOW! He has such an amazing gift of being able to completely captivate me as the listener and make me feel as if I’m actually living out the story right along side all the characters!

If you are on the fence about this series, I recommend you just dive right in. I promise, you won’t regret it!

Thank you Wyatt and Chris for such an amazing adventure, I truly hope it continues!

Superhero’s oh my

Superhero’s, action, adventure and hot sex what more do you want? I loved the series, it got my attention right away. The way they started with poor kid who needed a break into a fantastic adventure.
The way Chris brought the characters to life was just fantastic.

OK when they stop having sex for 5 minutes

I enjoyed the overall world and the characters, I'm not a huge fan of harem elements. I don't know how many times the main character could have avoided problems if they just waited to have sex for a while. "I have to modify my armband to because this new villain has a way to circumvent it and my life is in grace danger, but first I gotta bang these hot women!!"

Also it never occurs to ask the 2 women how they live with no jobs and ha also puts up with an amazing amount of shit for money when he literally could become a millionaire in his spare time with his abilities.

Great narration with enjoyable superhero story

I think I am becoming a fan of Chris Graves narrations, as he does top notch job on superhero (harem) adventures.
As far as the harem part is concerned, it is done quite tastefully, if you can say that - it is erotic but not very graphic and does not distract much from the story. Story itself is quite good, logical progression from a chump in a dead-end job to one of the luckiest guys in the New Lincoln City. My favorite parts where him returning to his crappy workplace time and again and all the tinkering he was doing with his superpowers, always discovering some new gadgets with some help from his slob roommate with ideas. Fight scenes were great too, and again Chris Graves did amazing job giving different voices to so many characters, heros and villains, where each character was different and recognizable in a unique and entertaining way. This is what you call omnibus edition - you get 3-books-in-1, and each book is about 1 day in our hero's life, so it is kind of reminiscient of the tv show 24, where so much happens in such a little "real" time, in the end it feels like you have spent forever with Ty and his lovely companions, yet quite pleased you have done so.

My complaints

OK I will first say that I enjoyed the series but I have quite a few things that either annoyed me or straight got on my nerves I’m going to list them out as I don’t often write reviews but shit never got better by saying nothing so here goes.

1.Way too many times do you have the main character have an inner monologue that goes something like this I was once like this but now I have these abilities It’s worded differently but you’re essentially constantly repeating this and I found myself rolling my eyes because I could see when one of these or about the pop-up might want to change how you write those

2. Constantly repeating things that either happened earlier in the book or happened in previous books I really do not like it when Authors do this quick mention of the event is really all you need not a full recap

3. Constantly going on those paragraph long rants about how beautiful and perfect the main characters harem is Like I get it don’t need to be constantly reminded the only time you should be reminding us is when a new character encountered them and even then it should be kept a brief

4. Now I’m writing this review as I am about three hours away from finishing book three so I don’t know if this gets corrected but do they not have the Internet or something you would think with the power to enhance technology that would be the first place you would go looking for ideas and inspiration rather than Complaining about his lack of ideas

4. This is a small nitpick but you really don’t need to compare everything to a video game especially since you mentioned that the main character was it that much of a gamer So I can find it weird he compares everything to a game

I’m sure I’m getting something but that’s all I have to say I do hope you improve as I do see potential but lots of room for improvement

MC is a moron

I have stopped just after book 2 as I don't see this improving. I only went into this expecting mediocre but was consistently frustrated by some of the mc's decisions. In regards to his problems in general and work in particular given where he is staying and who he is staying with the whole work thing should have ended right near the beginning and his money issues should be solved by simply speaking to his gfs. Not talking about mooching just saying neither of them have jobs and they are clearly doing fine which implies some sort of income. This is also something they should have brought up with him. It shouldn't have been a plot point after the first book IMO. The super powers and tech stuff was fun.

Poor plot, one dimensional characters

Just not a good story. The internal logic of the universe is nonexistent, the choices the characters make are illogical and not in character and the characters are Allie one-dimensional. Not even the lit-rpg part works. Narrator does his best with what he has been given

A superb Sci-Fi Superhero Series

I was initially unsure about this book however around 3 chapters in it kicked in and I was hooked.
The story weaves and wanders along with plenty of twists and turns to keep you going.
The action is well versed and the interaction with characters is both endearing and captivating.

The performance is an enhancement to the story lending real quality and depth to the characters.

I would recommend this book to anyone that loves a bit of futuristic sci fi, anyone that likes a superhero book.
I think with it romance parts it even falls into that category.

I received a free review copy of this audiobook in exchange for an impartial and honest review which I have provided above.

A fun super hero saga

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I have been reading this series which is now up to book 5 so , when i saw the opportunity to get the first three audio books I felt it was a good way to remind my self what has happened. The story's are good with a protagonist with an interesting power and the narration is well read with good voices for the characters (I'd never have imagined the deerkin as Irish)

Story with great potential.

Great potential but the main character is frustratingly moronic in his way of thinking. It is very frustrating.
