Good Addition to The Witch’s Ambitions Trilogy Series

I enjoyed book 1 in this series and was looking forward to seeing where the story would go. The story continues with some twists and turns I did not see coming. The story was interesting and kept my attention.

Narration was well done and brought the story to life. I love that this narrator makes each character unique and you can easily understand who is speaking.

The story moves at a slow pace with great description of situations and the surroundings. This book picks up a bit towards the conclusion and leaves us hanging again with a cliffhanger.

It was an enjoyable book and I’m looking forward to finding out what happens when the story wraps up in the next final book.

Loved this book!

I have listened to the The Council and now The Elementals. I can't wait for the next in the series. Both books have been awesome and I am looking forward to more Kayla Krantz books!

Lynn Norris has done a phenomenal job with narration. voices are easily distinguishable. Humor, mumbling, talking while eating are clearly portrayed as well. I found that to be so endearing. Great job!

Entertaining

The Elemental Coven picks up where the previous book stopped. Sisters are reunited but trust and patience are tested. The covens stand off and those who are not joining are dying. Plenty of action and drama to keep one entertained. The narrator did a good job. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great performance by Lynn Norris

Liked this story but wish it were longer. I suppose this being a series it will flow into the next. Lynn Norris does a great job narrating. Her accents and character accents are spot on

a good listen

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

As with the first book, I was very pleasantly suprised to find a story that doesn't follow the normal witch tropes. It takes a different approach to witches and magic. This one didn't have the same slowness issues as book 1. The narrator continues to do a good job on the narration. All in all, a good listen if you're a fantasy/paranormal fan. I am definitely looking forward to more in the series.

Slightly addictive

Though a bit lost since I had not read the first book in the series, I did find my way within the first hour or so of the story. I'm not a fan of how the main character acts as though she's too good for everyone, but I could put that aside for the other aspects of the story. In its essence, this is a story about loss and coming to terms with the fact that what you believed with your whole being may not have been true.

Not sure about the story

I got this ARC via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. This is the second book in the trilogy and since I did not hear the firs I started out lost and never really found my way. I found the main character unlikable. She begin the story in a sad place and never seemed to get to the good part. She was angry with everyone and double minded about many things. Most of the time she sounded like a whiney teenager who only wanted her way. First she could barely walk then all of a sudden she was speeding through the building then she was back to limping. She was not grateful for the help that was given until close to the end. Perhaps I missed some parts because my mind tended to drift when she was being nasty to some of the people. I am not sure how I really felt about the whole story. It was well written I just di not resonate with the main character.

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook!

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. Although I have to admit, I didn’t read book 1 in the series - and didn’t realise it was book 2 when I got it - but as I began listening I found that I was dropped smack dab into the middle of a war between two factions.

Still, it was easy enough to catch up to what was happening (the characters explained a lot of what they’d gone through in the previous book, clarifying their connections to one another within the first three or so chapters).

Well written and well read, I give The Elemental Coven a solid 4 stars.

The Elemental Coven

I don't think when I started this book I realized it was book 2 in the series. I do think this has a lot to do with the understanding and back story of the Coven. And the witches involved. I constantly felt like I was playing catch up to understand how things worked. Which made the book not as enjoyable as it should have been. The narration was nice and easy to listen to .
