Publisher's summary

A number one Amazon Kindle best seller for over one year, and spanning five categories, The Eighth Scroll by Dr. Laurence B. Brown is a modern action/adventure that stirs the flames of ages-old religious controversies.

Drawing upon the three faiths of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, The Eighth Scroll creates a spell-bindingly dynamic and powerful story, packed with intrigue and adventure: When a Roman Catholic scholar involved in the Dead Sea Scrolls Project hides one of the scriptures, because of the heretical message it contains, no one is the wiser until decades later, when a prominent archeologist discovers reference to the scroll in an archeological dig. This discovery spurs the world religions into a dangerous game of cat and mouse, in which all who seek the hidden scroll are mysteriously silenced, leaving the salvation of humankind to a father and son, who must either find the hidden scroll...or die trying.

A change in paradigm

After spending a lifetime being bombarded by the Hollywood propaganda machine that portrays the victims as the victimizers it’s refreshing to hear an intriguing story that very eloquently portrays the victims’ reality on the ground. Overall a great narration and voice acting by Matt Hicks and an excellent book by Dr. Brown.

"Are you kidding? This is better than a movie!"

Very different from any other novel I've read or listened to so far. Expected to struggle through considering it's a debut novel but surprisingly, it had me hooked until the end. Only issue is it's raised a lot of questions in my mind that need to be researched but that's probably what the author intended.

Hope he continues writing both fiction and non-fiction.

Spy Triller with theological debates

I am familiar with Dr. Brown's more academically based theological works but find this format as an exciting way to introduce readers of fiction to the debate of three Abrahamic faiths.
Entertaining story that filled in the debates as the main character Michael developed his theories as PhD in comparative religion that gets caught up in an arvheologic find the discredits Trinitarian theology as well as Paul.
Great read for the seeker and Muslim.

One of the best books I've read

This was an astonishingly good book. It had me up at midnight just listening. A must-read for those seeking the truth, or a Muslim (or non-Muslim, for that matter) wanting a read that'll keep you on the edge of your seat.

Even though it's written by a Muslim, and leans towards Islam, it's not biased. It just gives the facts and reasoning. The conclusion is for you to decide.

Overall, an amazing book. A must-read (must-listen?) for everybody. Would definitely recommend.
