A new Character for this series
This is one of my favorite series and one of my favorite authors and an amazing narrator. This was not the best book in the series but did have a good mystery and, as-always, the intricate relationship between all the characters.
I would not read this book without reading the first 3. It's not really a stand-alone book at all.
I am excited about the addition of a spunky, 9 year-old, French girl to the cast of characters.

Jess Montgomery and Susan Bennett
I found Jess Montgomery by searching books narrated by Susan Bennett and now I need more! The sheriff has a pretty big personality that I didn’t like occasionally, but loved all the same. The extended family they have formed is wonderful & makes for great reads. I throughly enjoyed all four books & look forward to new ones.
