A great story, but a bit on the raunchy side

This is one of the best story lines I’ve come across in a while. Interesting enough to keep listening. The only BIG drawback in my opinion is the raunchy sex between the characters. It has some impotence in the story, but didn’t need to be so thoroughly descriptive

Action packed novel with a great storyline. Definitely worth every second sent on reading it.

What did you like best about The Drowned Girls? What did you like least?

The story was great, but two hours into it, I dropped it and went to another book because of the narrator. She sounded like valley girl meets Forest Gump and got on my last nerve. She had a tendency to drag out the end of each word and add syllables where they didn't belong. Grueling! I came back to the book and finished it, but don't think I'll be downloading book 2.

Great Development of Characters

You really get a feel for the type of characters in what would seem to be the building of a typical detective story but ends up twisting much differently than expected. Keep the volume down if you have kids or use your headphones, I was embarrassed to have my husband hear the kind of sex scenes going on.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Drowned Girls to be better than the print version?

This story was very well written but even with a story that's well written, the narrator could make it, a great audio book or a boring one. The narrator does a wonderful job at bringing this story to life. I felt like I was watching a suspense movie.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The main character Angie Pallorino goes through some personal revelations which really brings this story together into a multidimensional plot. I love her passion in her work, she desires more than anything to save lives. I can't wait to listen to the 2nd book in this series, it's read by the same narrator!

Any additional comments?

I love this story but just a WARNING, it's has some GRAPHIC SEX SCENES but not unpleasant if you don't mind that kind of thing.

So good

I love discovering new authors!! A couple of friends and myself recently did a buddy read of this book and I'm glad that we did. This book was insane. There were so many twists & turns.....absolutely kept me guessing through the entire story. And that ending had me saying "OMG!!" I immediately had to grab book 2.

I tried...

The story is engaging, if pretty graphic. I had to stop at chapter nine because I just couldn’t stomach the reader. She ends her words with kind of a valley girl lily that is so annoying. I increased the speed, but just cannot do it...

Keeps you interested and asking for more captivating authors are life's blood I appreciate a good story.

One of the best

This was one of the best books I’ve “read.” I loved the twists and turns.
