Amazing book

I recently had the pleasure of reading "The Dream Lover" and I can't help but overflow with joy as I write this review. This book is an absolute gem that effortlessly transports you into a world of enchantment and imagination.

The Dream Lover

A beautifully written, poetic story about a woman who chose her destiny and lived life to the fullest. Thoroughly enjoyable, if you enjoy historical novels this is the one to read.

Well written, but the story was boring

I think the title of this book should be "From the frying pan into the fire" or "Looking for love in all the wrong places". I was exhausted reading about all the various love affairs and bad choices made. It did not inspire me to read any of George Sand's books. but I do like Elizabeth Berg. She is a good writer. that's the reason I gave this book a four. She couldn't help it that the subject's life was so dismal. I applaud her for trying to make it interesting.

Just can't get through it

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I usually love Elizabeth Berg but try as I might, I cannot get through this book. My mind wanders, I had trouble keeping track of the characters and the era. I restarted the book from the beginning 3 times and still I can't get through it. Perhaps I will try it in print.
