Publisher's Summary

When a famous pooch comes to Wagtail for some downtime, inn owner Holly Miller learns that murder never rests in this all-new Paws & Claws mystery in the New York Times best-selling series.

America's favorite dog comes to pet-friendly Wagtail for some rest and relaxation, but Holly quickly discovers that this perfect pup is a total scamp who takes every opportunity to run off and misbehave. During an outdoor treasure-hunting game, the star dog and Trixie, Holly's beloved Jack Russell terrier, stumble across a dead body.

Holly has more than murder to worry about, though, when a man shows up after reading an article featuring Trixie in a magazine and claims that he is the dog's rightful owner. Holly will need to prove that she is her pup's only parent and catch a killer to restore peace to her pet-loving happy place.

FABULOUS AUTHOR AND EXCEPTIONAL SERIES.

I hope there is more in the Paws and Claws series. Krista really outdid herself with The Dog That Knew Too Much I think out of all of them this was one of the best in this series. I really enjoyed this one. I enjoy all of them but this one was just really awesome. The narrator did a great job on all of the characters. If you are looking for your next series The Paws and Claws series is a must. ❤❤📚📚

Not up to the level of other books in this series

I am so disappointed with the author! Until this book, I've enjoyed the series, but this was a complete disappointment. Did the author do any research on Fentanyl? Was she trying to just grab a headline without any education on the fact that it's not sold directly but mixed in with heroin? Way to downplay the opioid epidemic and that Narcan is used primarily for people who accidentally overdose. I am really shocked, the author did a huge disservice to the characters she created and to herself. Both are better than this book was.

liked the story

even though the story is very good and compelling and will keep you on the edge of the seat. I disliked the narrator's version of a German accent May throw you off it comes off more like a Slavic or Croatian accent like Russian instead of German.

Another superb Paws and Claws mystery

This time a dog tv star and his entourage arrive in Wagtail. What follows is a complex, twisty mystery. Holly and Trixie once again help solve two off murders. Plus there is a rash of missing dogs. What a fun, and interesting story.
