Dr Kevin

Quick Novella. I liked Kevin. A surgeon in his 30s, who is in good shape. He feels the need to save people, but does not like to be in the spotlight. He quickly becomes possessive of Chloe. I would say he borders on controlling. Chloe is a 19 year old virgin. She witnessed a man cheat on her mom, and then her mom committed suicide. This made her hypersensitive to putting her own emotions at risk of trusting a man. (I found this hard to believe.) Story concept is interesting. The character development was fine. Narration was good.

The doctor and the receptionist

Cute story, about a woman saved by a man. They wind up finding out they work together later on.

He's determined to convince her their soul mates. I liked that while he pushes when she says no the first date he's accepts that.

Kevin and Chloe

Kevin (H30) saves a young woman from drowning, but his humility has him quickly leaving. Now all he can do is think about her until she shows up as a receptionist as the hospital where he's a surgeon. Chloe (h19) finds herself drawn to the doctor who insists they're meant to be together, but a tragic death has her love-averse and Kevin has to do his best to convince her they have a future together. Sweet heat romantic quickie with a side of angst and obsession.

Good but sad

God, I really thought that she'll try to kill herself! Her mind was wandering and the sadness because she was missing her mom was too much. The good doctor understood and helped her. It was so raw and real!
I did love it.

The Doctor is Ready to See You

Another fun one by Emma Bray!! It's a pretty quick listen, with a good narrator and likable characters! It has all the fun of Bray's other books with amazing chemistry between the leads and plenty of steam! Chloe has had a rough few years with the death of her mother and Kevin has been a bit of a workaholic, preferring to spend time being busy. Until he sees Chloe in the ocean, drowning...where his obsession begins. It's a fun little story with a happy ending and fun epilogue!

The narrator was good. I listened at 1.2x speed, I found it worked better with the narrators voice. She did a good job with the male and female voices and really added character to the story!.

I had a really hard time with this story. I have listened to is several times now and I just keep getting stuck. During almost all of the story Kevin was chasing Chloe and wanted to be with her. Also during most of the story, Chloe was attracted to Kevin but determined to not be like her mother and so she didn't want to get involved with him. Everything changes between them very quickly and I just had a hard time accepting that overnight Chloe would change that much. I know that is part of the genre but it was just a little too abrupt for me. The narrator did a great job differentiating the voices. I did like their happily ever after. I recommend reading or listening to this story for your self and making your own opinion.

Sweet

I really enjoyed this audio version of The Doctor’s Obsession. Unexpected love at first sight and both felt the connection when he saved her life. Fate had them crossing paths again and they never let go.

Chloe and Kevin

In this quick enjoyable listen we are introduced to Kevin, are hot doctor, who whilst visiting the beach saved Chloe's life and then left before she could properly thank him.

Afterwards, he can't stop thinking about her and regrets leaving so quickly and begins to be somewhat obsessed with her. But then a few of weeks later fate steps in and they meet again. But Chloe's not looking for love, she thinks love is the reason her mother's gone. Kevin has his work cut out for him if he's going to be able to convince her that they are made for each other!

The narration is performed by Laurie West who does an excellent job of bringing the characters to life with just the right amount of passion and angst.

Doctor Romance

This is a short doctor, age gap, and virgin romance. Kevin is a doctor who saves Chloe's life. Chloe begins working at the hospital where Kevin works. Kevin wants Chloe. Kevin is determined to make Chloe his and take care of her. Chloe is scared of being hurt. It is short and sweet but a good story.

Charming!

Chloe just lost her mother and is trying to find her equilibrium at the ocean, but a current is dragging her out to sea. When she opens her eyes, she sees a gorgeous man looking back at her. They leave without learning their names, but find each other at the hospital where Kevin's a doctor and she's a receptionist. It's a really cute story that has a light feel about it. Kevin has to work a little bit for it, but Chloe ends up in his arms. For a short story, it's deceptively well-flushed. Laurie West does an excellent job with the narration!
