Publisher's summary

Domestic diva Sophie Winston can whip up an elaborate event in her sleep, but as the hippest hostess, she rarely gets to enjoy the full guest treatment. Which is why her best friend Nina Reid Norwood loops her in to the latest culinary craze: a pop-up gourmet dinner party. The celebrity chef, the epicurean menu, and the high-profile attendees are all a surprise, turning the decadent dining experience into the hottest ticket in Old Town. But Sophie's just pleased as punch that she finally has an opportunity to join her fellow foodies in some fun.

The posh party proves to be a recipe for disaster when Hollis Haberman sours spirits by bringing his own hot new dish - his young trophy wife. With Hollis's son and ex-wife in attendance, there may be more heat at the table than in the kitchen. But by aperitifs, Sophie discovers Hollis swallowing his last bits of air, and she must scramble to stop a killer before the swanky supper becomes anyone else's last meal.

Under gound Dinner Party

Sophie and Nina are back! My favorite "show" is back, the Old Town friends are solving mysteries again. Nina and Sophie are part of an underground dinner (which sounds amazing). When the newly divorced/married host dies, and his new much younger wife becomes the number one suspect Sophie and the Old Town friends help find the killer. I love all the suspects, the ups/downs and the mystery.

Long Awaited return of the Domestic Diva

It feels like it has been forever since the last Domestic Diva tale. It was well worth the wait. It was nice to dive back into Sophie Winston's world of food, murder, and mayhem. I can never get enough of Old Town and the characters that dwell there. The competing columns that Sophie and Natasha pen are always entertaining. Krista's mysteries are always a treat.

Love the Diva’s

Another great book in the series. It may be predictable yes there will be a murder and yes Sophie and her friends will be on the case. But from there Krista Davis always finds a way to keep it fresh. It was nice to see Sophie‘s relationship is still intact and flourishing . This time around brings back some old friends. I always enjoy this series hope there are many more books to come.

Plus Book No Ending

This WAS a Plus book. I was almost through the whole book when it suddenly stopped being a PLUS book. Now if I want to know who the murderer was I have to buy the book. This sucks.

The story was well written and the narrator was very good. I had intended on getting more in this series but instead I will move on.

5 Stars

One of the key elements in cozy mysteries is that it have realistic and well developed characters. I have come to expect this in each book of the Domestic Diva series. Sophie and her core group of friends are great characters. I enjoy the way they interact with each other and the way they go about solving crimes. Krista Davis does a good job writing believable dialogue and creating (somewhat) believable situations for her characters. Each book is entertaining and has fresh ideas. This is an enjoyable series and I look forward to the next book in this series.
