loved it

good except for the editing. at one point you can hear the author ask to take a break

Great Book/Translation

This is my favorite translation of the Dhammapada and my teacher recommends this one.

It’s nice to hear the author read his own book, yet there is a clip at the very end of Chapter: Craving, one of the later chapters where he says “okay I’m going to take a break now” presumably to a sound engineer. This missed the cut. Along with sentences throughout I wish they would re-record.

But it must be mentioned that Gil has a smooth and silky voice that puts one at ease and makes you feel warm.

Nice voice, good cadence,

and a good translation. but the number of the verse was included after every verse. Which, after some time becomes distracting. it makes listening with a flow from verse to verse all but impossible. it's too bad because otherwise its a good translation.

Turned woke

Rewrote it to be woke using their own unique way to ruin a classic. Not worth the purchase price
