AWESOME! Sex, Drugs, Violence, Horror & Humor

This is one of the most entertaining books I've ever listened to. The author has written a smart, fast-paced, action-packed story with gritty, authentic characters you'll love and hate. The Demon in Business Class literally flies you around the world, en route to an epic confrontation between dual protagonists. Thoroughly unique and completely unpredictable in the most satisfying way.

While the story by Anthony Dobranski is a delight, the narration by Laura Petersen may be even more impressive. Petersen voices over a dozen characters from around the globe. Without crossing the line, Petersen's read is more like a theatrical performance than a mere rendering of text. I love her voice and will eagerly seek out more of her work.

The Demon in Business Class is a suspenseful tale of espionage and political intrigue. We are slowly introduced to a world that lies beneath or perhaps outside our everyday experience, one where magic and unnatural abilities shape our reality. It's an immersive experience to visit this world. For the week or two I was listening to the story, it felt I lived in that other space.

One of the most unique aspects of the book is how the author speaks directly to the visceral senses. He establishes scenes by describing sights, sounds, feelings and odors. The granularity of these descriptions gives great authenticity to the experience and puts you directly in the minds of the two protagonists.

I can't recommend this book highly enough! It's a surprise sleeper that I think will quickly gain a big following. In the post-pandemic era where great content is increasingly scarce, this was a precious find that I'm eager to share with all my friends.
