I am a huge fan of the Gift Series. And I have been waiting for Jake and Kate’s book since the Engagement Gift. Kate and Jake are friends who love to flirt and who have been harboring secret fantasies about each other for months. Kate is an Independent woman trying to get her life back on the right track and Jake is a hard-working man trying to help his family. They have amazing chemistry and understand each others dreams and fantasies.

Teddy Hamilton and Elena Wolfe are always amazing together. Make sure you stay for the extra story of Jakes sister Christine. This book is definitely worth a credit.

This was another quick and naughty love story in this steamy "After Dark" collection. Not only do we get all the playful and fun banter we expect from this author, we also get a whole lot of heat. Who doesn't love a little roll play between too people who are wildly attracted to one another. Kate is such a fun character with a great imagination and she has a gift for reading people. Oh and Jake... YUM! I have been waiting for his HEA since The Engagement Gift. He is my kinda hero, a good guy who knows how to be dirty and a gentlemen too. Their romance was spicy and sweet.

The casting for this one was PERFECTION! I love Teddy Hamilton so I knew it would be perfect. Seriously, hearing that man say "Naughty" gives me butterflies! Elena Wolfe, Grace Grant and Jacob Morgan were also all awesome as always. I also have to say a little something extra about Vanessa Edwin, she is seriously a girl crush for me! She is another great female narrator with a sexy voice and a super hot male voice.

The Decadent Gift

I kinda loved this, Kate is a people watcher but she is more intense about it. She kind of pegs the people she is watching and it’s a little bit fascinating. I love that her fantasy/kink is something that she excels at.

You could tell the sparks when she and Jake are in the same place. They fit and I think that is what I liked best. He knew just want to say and make it not feel weird for her at all. I loved that.

It made me feel like he just gets her and I love books that never make the other character feel awkward of odd for something they like.

The 2 small shorts at the end of this book also were fantastic do I wish we had more from the rocket scientist yes but it was still a great listen.

The narration as always was perfection; I look forward to listening because you know it will be an utter delight in our ears.

I've been waiting for Kate and Jake's story since meeting them in The Engagement Gift. This is a sexier and more sensual story than Lauren Blakely's usual romcoms, but it's so much fun. I really appreciated that both characters didn't lose themselves as individuals as the story progressed and that each of them had their own dreams and aspirations. They were both independent and driven individuals, who worked hard and played hard.

Jake and Kate had scorching hot chemistry and I loved how they each embraced their own sexuality and also nurtured the other's. There is no judgement about their pasts and it was just so refreshing to see two mature characters communicate openly and honestly with each other. I love that we get a little mini love story or two (and their POV's!) in addition to Jake and Kate's at the end and also a little glimpse of the next couple that will be featured in The Gift series. Teddy Hamilton and Elena Wolfe were amazing as always and I loved them as Jake and Kate. The cameo appearances by Grace Grant, Jacob Morgan, and Vanessa Edwin were also a wonderful surprise. Their extra little love stories at the end were like the cherry on top. Overall, this is a sexy and fun story that is sure to leave you craving more.

Decadent indeed

Short steamy read with a variety of characters. Teddy Hamilton is my favorite narrator and as always did an amazing job. I love the guest appearances by Jacob Morgan and Vanessa Edwin. I think it really added to the narration.

Jake is WOW!!

What a story! I’ve been crushing on Jake since The Engagement Gift, but it’s grown into full blown love. His and Kate’s story has been in the making for a while, and totally worth the wait.

Jake and Kate have been flirty friends for a while, but everyone but them can see there’s an underlying pull between them. When they accept and give into their attraction, they embark on a temporary role-playing tryst, as research for Kate’s project at work. That’s when things really heat up. Kate’s kink was revealed in The Engagement Gift, but when Jake’s was revealed, that’s the moment I fell hard for him. I loved their openness with each other, and thrill at trying new things in the bedroom. I loved that they were friends first, and so when it happened, their love was solid. I just couldn’t get enough of these two.

It was great catching up with the gang from the first books in the series, and Lauren brings in some great new folks. Stick around for for some bonus material.

Teddy Hamilton and Elena Wolfe were so perfect for this story. I always enjoy Grace Grant, Vanessa Edwin, and Jacob Morgan.

Gifted book 3

Las Vegas - One weekend - it was agreed upon by both Kate and Jake. Get it out of our system and move on.
Kate is an amazing business woman, and can read body language like nobody, and Jake is a lawyer, hard working and driven. Both are workaholics, both like role playing when it comes to sexual adventures.

Both aren't sure one weekend is enough.

Teddy Hamilton and Elena Wolfe are the wonderful main narrators for this story, and do a fantastic job. Grace Grant, Vanessa Edwin and Jacob Morgan also lend their expert vocals to this story but not as key characters.

A great addition to a fun series

I had been anxiously awaiting Jake and Kate's story since meeting them in the first book in the series, The Engagement Gift. Their story was absolutely worth the wait. I loved that their mutual attraction and interest in each other began with a friendship, and loved that they were part of a large friend group. They were so great together- they had fantastic chemistry and banter and their steamy scenes were so well written. I listened the audible book after reading the story, and Elena Wolf and Teddy Hamilton did a wonderful job as the main characters, as they always do- they are pros and it definitely shows. Grace Grant, Vanessa Edwin and Jacob Morgan also made appearances at the end and added so much to the experience- Lauren Blakely really knows how to cast romance! The Decadent Gift was a great addition to a fun series.

Fantastic!!

I loved every steamy, delicious second of The Decadent Gift. Meeting Jake in The Engagement Gift had me wanting some more, and more is what was delivered. I love how Lauren Blakely manages to mix “businesses” with pleasure in the sexiest way. When Kate and Jake come together the chemistry is off the chain. On night turns into the weekend and then...

As always the narrators truly bring the book to life making me enjoy it that much more.

Good listen

I enjoyed these stories. I didn’t read the description as I liked the author and the narrators. I was a bit taken aback when the first romance concluded around hour 3. The end of the book is two additional love stories for peripheral characters. All was well done but with shorter stories I wasn’t as invested in the outcome. Good story. Great narration.
