An excellent story of two people with physical problems who work hard to overcome them. The virtual voice takes away from the experience.

The recuuring theme in these kinds of stories is the wishy washy heroine or hero. Didn’t these people have backbone. I assume the author has done the research and so this kind of behavior was the norm in the times most of these books were based. However at some point some of them had enough spirit to thumb their nose at society. It’s too bad it didn’t happen earlier.
