When Adeline Everhart becomes a lady's maid to an impossible Lady, she does not expect to fall for a stranger she meets in the streets—especially not for the Duke of Blackfield, the very man her Lady intends to marry.

Theodore Spencer, Duke of Blackfield, came to London to find a wife and fulfill his family’s expectations, but little did he know that meeting Adeline would change everything. Drawn to her beyond reason, he defies every convention to pursue her, even if it means facing scandal.

In a society ruled by privilege and prejudice, Adeline and the Duke’s bond grows against all odds. With great suspicions rising though and their love under threat, will they fight to bridge the chasm between their worlds—or will they let it tear them apart forever?

"A Duke's Unlikely Cinderella" is a historical romance novel of approximately 80,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.

I really liked Adelaide and Theodore but also the secondary characters. They were all reasonably 3-dimensional. Though I wondered if Sarah had a mental illness she was so volatile. You know how in the romance formula the mains have to have some falling out that breaks their relationship due to one or the other believing a lie told to them by an untrustworthy villain? I hate those stories because it is too unbelievable that allegedly intelligent characters would trust the word of someone they otherwise dislike and distrust in all other situations. That doesn't happen here. The intelligent characters react with skepticism. Refreshing.
