Publisher's summary

Destined to be together.

Kay of Isca knows Charles St. John is his fated soul mate, but between battle, duty, and saving the world, staying in the same reality, never mind the same bed, is proving a bit more of a challenge than either stubborn man will admit.

The malicious armies of Morgan le Fay are gathering, and the chance that one of their friends has already been lost to evil is a real possibility too terrifying to contemplate.

Nothing is ever as it seems, but unless Kay can unravel the vile plans centuries in the making, they won't just die before they get a chance to love.

They'll die before they get a chance to live.

📖 Story comment: Good pace, likeable characters, nice flow. A great instalment in the Guardians of Camelot series - I'm loving this series and am excited for the final coming battle.

🎧 Narrator comment: Greg Boudreaux can do no wrong (in my opinion). He grabs my attention from the opening sentence and enhances every emotion I feel along the way. He suits the characters, has good cadence, inflections and intonations and it's easy to distinguish the characters from each other. Overall an enjoyable performance and he's bringing this series to life

----- 📌 NOTE TO FUTURE SELF -----
This book kept me up past bed time every night I listened to it. When it came to the final chapter I wanted to start book 4 straight away ... I didnt ... but I reeeallly wanted too! - Next re-listen plan enough time to allow myself to listen to the first half hour of book 4 before I have to stop listening 🤣.

📌 Where does it fall on my personal scale? 8
• 1 not my thing • 2 didn't like the narration • 3 didn't keep my attention • 4 was good, but once was enough • 5 enjoyed it • 6 will listen again if i'm in the mood for the narrator • 7 goes on the "re-listen" list [4⭐] • 8 kept me up past bed-time [4.5⭐] • 9 recommended to family/friends [4.75⭐] • 10 own it in multiple formats [5⭐] • 11 keep a copy with me at all times [5⭐]

Amazing Series

Okay the twists and turns in this one were crazy. I didn't see the revelations coming at all. Kay knows that Charles is his Tresor, but Charles doesn't acknowledge that. There was a scene at the beginning that absolutely broke my heart on how Kay felt when Charles tells him he is wrong. He has a higher calling & he can't give Kay what he needs/wants. Gawain, he also breaks my heart thinking that he can never give his Tresor what he will need/want. We get to see some of life before they became immortal and I really enjoyed that. I really want to say more, but I don't want to spoil this for anyone. You have to read it. If you haven't read the first two books, you really need to as I think you would be a bit lost.
