It is the time foretold, when the Dark Liege Gyphon will return from exile to subdue all creation to his vile domination. In the Iron Tower, Modru works his magics to summon his implacable lord. And across Mithgar, the warriors of the kight are massing for their final assault on the Powers of Dark.

Men, Elves, Dwarves, and doughty warrows - their state is desperate but their courage is high. For if they fail, there comes the unending Darkest Day. If they succeed, all will see the dawn of a New Age of legend and glory....

This is always the big issues, narrators that are incapable of pronouncing common fantasy terms like scimitar (pronounced by this guy as skimitar), winding not like winding a clock but like wind the movement of air... and the way he pronounces Ghul just kills me, not only the "ga-hool" but the tone he takes when he does it. Terrible.

An incredible end to an incredible seriess! This trilogy was my first experience with this author, and I can't wait to read more.

I love this book! I have listened to it several times. It is just a wonderful story to listen and lose yourself within the world of the wee folk.

One of the great one.

Nice along the lines of Lord of the Rings as it was meant to be, but it would have been better with wizards. :)

Good epic, though short on magic

I loved these books growing up and they are pretty good as an adult. I think they would be better with a better narrator. I hate how he pronounces the names of the spawnen. And its hatd to follow him during the story. A better narrator would make this story sing and he has not done that. Still a good story but i find myself loosing track because of how he reads monotonously.

Story is great. Narrator not so great
