Still Good, Though Not as Good

While I enjoyed this story, it didn't grab my attention to the same degree the first book did. I get irritated by certain tropes that authors sometimes use, and that was the case with this book. As with most trilogies, this second book was darker than the first. I do look forward to how the story will conclude.
