Publisher's Summary

A haunted house in Key West.

Hannah O'Brien, who grew up in the house and now runs it as a B and B, has always had a special ability to see a pair of resident ghosts. But when a man is murdered in the alley behind her place, she's dismayed when his spirit appears, too, asking for help.

FBI agent Dallas Samson has a passionate interest in the murder, since the victim's a colleague whose death is connected to the smuggling ring known as Los Lobos - the wolves. Now Dallas is even more committed to chasing them down….

Unaware that Dallas has certain abilities of his own, Hannah calls her cousin Kelsey O'Brien, a member of the FBI's Krewe of Hunters, an elite unit of paranormal investigators. The present-day case is linked to a historical mystery involving salvagers, a curse and a sunken ship. Danger and desire bring Hannah and Dallas together, but to survive, they have to solve the mysteries of the past - and stay alive long enough to solve the crimes of the present!

LIke Series...but...Heroine is TOO STUPID TO LIVE!

I enjoy this series, but this is my least favorite. The main character Hannah is just too stupid to live. That is a device in a book that really annoys me. I don't want to give any spoilers so I won't go in to details. Just trying to finish it out at this point. Moving on now....

Enjoyable

I enjoyed this story and appreciated that there was romance, and yet more story than sexual description. The narrator did a good job of keeping the characters real an distinguishable.

Not a believable story.

This story is not believable and not worth my money. It sounded to comical and fake.

Worth it!

This is one of my favorite stories in the series. I love the people, the location and the historical information (which HG is known for). If you’ve never read/listened to her Bone Island Trilogy this won’t matter but…
In this book David and Liam Beckett are brothers but in the Bone Island Trilogy they’re cousins. Major pet leave of mine. PLEASE remember details of your books if you’re going to include those details in other books! Other than that I have no gripes. Luke Daniels is one of my favorite narrators and he did a great job once again.

Excellent!

What I am so impressed with is the narrator, Luke Daniels, who reads every Krewe book! He remembers the voice of past characters and uses the dialects from all around the country and globe! He does an excellent job distinguishing between male and female! An enjoyable book!

really bad narration

the story is fine. the author is one I've read on & off for years & though her books are predictable, they are enjoyable & I like the history she adds as well as the ghost aspect. but this narrator is bad. his accents & voices just made me cringe, esp his version of Logan Raintree.

Book 13 of The Krewe of Hunters Series

Set in Key West, a U.S. island and part of the Florida Keys archipelago, this story is set against historic pirates and lost treasure stories.

Paranormal occurrences, murder and romance are all part of the winning formula of The Krewe of Hunters series and this is no exception.
