Publisher's summary

It starts with just one body - tortured, mummified and then discarded. Its discovery reveals a nightmare world of hidden lives. Of lost identities, secret rituals and brutal exploitation, where nobody can be trusted. This is the darkest, most complex case the police have ever seen. This is the world of the Crow Girl.

Potential spoiled by poor editing

Would you try another book from Erik Axl Sund and/or Gabrielle Glaisters?

Author: no. Narrator: yes. Good narration does not save this book.

What could Erik Axl Sund have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Erik Axl Sund is the pen name used by Jerker Eriksson and Hakan Alexander Sundquist. Its a pity I did not know this at the start as I don't normally read books by two authors. They are normally substandard in my experience. This apparently successful duo make the book tedious towards the end by trying to include all the weird and terrible things they had read about on the Internet. It becomes tedious as a result. It starts off with such promise but their editor failed them by not reigning in some of the rubbish in the last third of the book.

Have you listened to any of Gabrielle Glaisters’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No.

What character would you cut from The Crow Girl?

Its no so much that characters need to be cut. Its rather that the authors try to get too clever and just end up with a tedious mess.

Any additional comments?

Ended the book thinking "what a waste of time".
