Publisher's summary

When plucky single mother Leda Plett goes next door to retrieve her wandering pooch, she doesn’t expect to find a handsome stranger lounging about like he owns the place. She certainly doesn’t expect him to go all "white knight" about her deadbeat ex or her knees to go all wobbly at his sexy smile.

Rodeo-star-turned-agent Eric Anders is used to managing people, and clearly the boots-and-sundress-wearing mouthy mama needs someone to manage her. He wants to help; her spirited spark and quick wit have nothing to do with it.

But when Eric’s good intentions end up bringing only hurt and humiliation, he’s forced to face the fact that he doesn’t always know best. Leda is stronger and wiser than he knew, and his arrogance may have just cost him the one girl he now can’t live without.

Cute story no depth

Leta I never heard her say I love you to Eric. She was very quick with sarcasms.
No depth to the story just a time fuller cute ending you knew from the beginning.

Sweet love story

Wonderful story when good things happen to those who have been treated badly. A funny, cute love story.

Stubbornness

Leda and Eric are both strong willed and headstrong. Determined to get their way. This story is sweet and clean as they both decide what they can’t live without. The narrator does a good job.

Struggled to finish.

Why do they make the girls sound so stupid. Maybe it was just t he narration but when they give the girls that accent they just seem like they are not very bright. Which isn't very fair. If they are educated they lose the accent. Interesting.

Entertaining storyline!

Leda and Eric’s romance was fun because she’s a fiercely independent young single mother with a zany personality and he’s ten years older and is completely fascinated with her from their first combative meeting. Leda hails a heart of gold but she’s sworn off men and Eric’s interest in her is not something she wants. But the former rodeo cowboy turned sports agent won’t take no for an answer which made the story entertaining. I listened to the audiobook and I enjoyed the narration performance of Felicity Munroe.

meh, kind of boring

she was fiery. he was sweet. and older. but they only did a couple of things together and then he was all in. I think the depth of characters outpaced the plot. I mean the female lead was too complex for the plot. the male lead was under developed. nether if them grew together. they were arranged together by the author which is just no fun.

Meh

Not much storyline—just boy meets girl.
Lots of hormones……
Narrator was good—despite not having much material to work with.
