Made me dislike clowns even more

Woooo... I've always been scared of clowns, but this made me dislike them even more! I really enjoyed how the book is written out like a movie! I have never seen this done before! It's really enjoyable and you really grow to love the characters.

Circus from hell!

Great story and the characters are relatable so you really become attached to them and it’s sad when they meet their demise. Very unique story telling and love all the fascinating ways of killing! People who love gore, clowns, and circuses will love this book!

This one did not live up to the hype

For me this book suffers a lot from the narrator. Their monotone "Narrator" voice takes out all of the tension from the story. Though their character voices are amazing. The story was just too much teen drama for me. The horror doesn't start until over 5 hours in and by that time I wanted all of the main characters to be gone.

Do you ever find a piece of media and think “Wow This Was Made Specifically For Me!!” ???

That is this book for me.

It feels like a Rob Zombie film was novelized by someone demented <3 and I love it <3

Was a fun idea

It was a good book overall but most parts of the book are just cringy. The way they describe candys size comes off inappropriate and kinda pedoish. Like her name isn’t said without it mentioning how tiny and childlike she is , honestly disgusting at times. And very unnecessary. But ig if u can overlook that it’s a cool story

Fun

I didn’t like the narrator but the story was fun and held my interest. It was like an 80s b movie

the teen love drama goes on for to long

the clown carnage in this book is great and doesn't hold back, and that's all and good I also liked the authors writing style, but the teenage love on the rocks subplot gets tedious and drags on and on throughout the whole story. I like a good love subplot if it's done right but these characters were way too cookie cutter and boring for me to care, hell most of the clowns had more flushed out backgrounds then the main characters.

80s horror at its finest

This story was exceptionally fun and the narrator Alana Nicole Cox is fantastic can't wait to see what more this author and narrator have in the future. The meta of the story itself along with the absolute absurdity of the situation made this an amazing listen.

Not bad!

A great listen if you enjoy a bloody slasher. I’ve heard others say this is a fast paced horror, but it seemed take a second for things for to pick up in my opinion. Characters are written nicely, and just like a slasher, you’ll be rooting for the different characters and hoping they make it out alive. Overall I would call this camp horror, but in a very good way. There were parts where I laughed and even more points where I was very disturbed, so be sure to check Trigger Warnings. Also I feel the narrator could’ve put a little more life into the actual narration itself (seemed very monotone) , but they did pretty okay with the different character voices. I would recommend to anyone who likes slashers and horror to give this a read/listen.
