I love this series

I have followed this series for a long time and Ms Dams always produces a great story. She creates wonderful characters, both friends and foes. l'm looking forward to the next book.

Good story despite annoying main character

Third book I've listened to in this series. The story unfolds nicely, interesting and engaging without being overly complicated. The main character is the pain point for me. She's judgey and self centered and full of self-pity. Then she's kind and generous in the next moment. It's human to be multi-faceted, but with Dorothy it's not in a believable and likeable way.

The narrator does a pretty good job with voices, distinct enough without sounding silly. In earlier books, she over enunciated words, like in an English lesson instead of a conversation. Less noticeable in this recording, still some unnatural sounding bits.
