Publisher's Summary

Jasmine knows she can easily protect the famous and charming singer Kaleb Quinn, but how will she resist him?

While performing one night, Kaleb Quinn claims he’s engaged to the woman of his dreams, Jasmine Peters, to escape frenzied fans. Just after the announcement is made, a vicious stalker promises to kill two people if Kaleb doesn’t follow through. Marrying Jasmine is more than he’s ever dared hope for; the trouble is, she’s been hired to protect him, not play the role of his wife. He soon realizes his new wife might be the ultimate threat to his heart.

Jasmine Peter’s deadly career makes it impossible for her to fall in love. But will that change when she’s required to marry Kaleb Quinn as part of his protection detail? Luckily, Jasmine is much too smart to fall for the perfect man.

meh

Was not real interested in their story so I skipped most if it. I felt like her reasons for not feeling good enough were kind of dumb.

Ugh….🙄

What a stupid plot. I really liked Jasmine’s characters some kind of broken. But this story was so ridiculous it could be a romance spoof. There were security specialists, football players, and a rock star. I didn’t finish the book but I’m thinking there must be a billionaire, a mafia kingpin and a motorcycle club member weaved in somewhere.
The narrators voice was blah.

Not a strong alpha male

My cousin and I always go back and forth about male roles, and I wouldn't recommend this read to her because she loves strong, hardcore alpha males. However, I can appreciate a man who is vulnerable and gentle. I loved the characters. I got a little sick and tired of Jessica’s back-and-forth decision-making, but all and all, it was a good read.

A little melodramatic for me...

If you like women who lack self confidence and self worth, then this book is for you. Jasmine is a strong and aggressive woman in her job, in fact, she's a take no prisoner kind of girl. But when given the chance to fall in love, it was a lot of 'I'm not good enough,' which is the opposite of her personality. While she has a very dark history, she never moves past it, not even to show or tell her true feelings toward her sister, much less the man she loves. It's just not my gig, but may not bother others.

Hmmm

I like that story but in the same time I would like different people talking on the story and the main guy they make him too softy.

Suspense, clean romance, very good narration

This book is full of great suspense, some action scenes, and a clean love story that has a long, bumpy road. I love the characters and the fact that the book is about 5 hours of narration. Nice size. The narration is very good.

Loved It

I loved Caleb and Jasmine's story. I'm listening to them out of order but it's easy to remember details of the previous story and keep up. Starting a new story right now.

A bit crazy

While it says that you can read it as a standalone, I would not recommend it.

I thought about giving the story 3 Stars as the constant 'not worthy' drove me insane. I thought that the story was fun and l mostly liked the main characters but the angst and self-doubt were overwhelming.

This is a clean Christian romance.

short story with no real build up

we all know we're reading trash romance for the pay off. and we all know the books are going to skirt reality. but I've never said "oh feck off!" out loud so many times while reading this one (bad book one of Quinn romance).

it's just way too silly and over the top. not sure I'll bother with the rest unless I'm stuck at an airport or something

insta love at its best

It was refreshing to have a music star story that didn't involve drugs, alcohol and endless women. this kind hearted country man knew what he wanted and didn't give up till he got the girl. its a bit mushy in places but maybe that's just because don't come across too many fellas who are able to articulate their feelings, butnits to be expected in a romance. the characters were likeable and it was good it hear from characters from the previous book.
the narration was great, good variation of voices for the different characters. all in all it was an enjoyable listen. if you're looking for romance without the 'spice/chilli peppers' factor, then these books are for you.

Disappointing

I really enjoyed Book 1 and looked forward to getting to know the entire Quinn family
This one just dragged on and on, with Jasmine forever blowing hot and cold. By the time the plot (predictability) developed I'd lost all empathy for the characters.
I won't be listening to the rest of the series
On a more positive note, the narrator did his best with the material he'd been given. I will be searching for more by him

So irritating

This was so irritating, it is poorly writen, characters fall DEEPLY in love after one look, without any build up. Characters keep nagging over and over and over again, about the same issues that stands in their way and there is absolutely no development is the way the view or handle their problems and issues.
Narrator is ok, trying his best to make this crap exciting, but that is not an easy job.

From start to finish enjoyed

Full of sentiment based on love and family. Following on from book one, we have Jasmine and Kaleb as the fighting, irresistible couple.. to get to the outcome go on read it.

Very repetitive and poorly written

This Christian romance was really poorly written and very repetitive. I did listen to the end, but afterwards I wondered why….
