Wonderful world of Oz

A classic American children’s literature series. Not quite a fairy tail, but a world with fairy princesses and plucky girls from Kansas. I loved every character dearly. Everyone should read at least the first 3 books in this series. It was interesting to notice parallels with The Great War which was happening while Baum wrote and published books, and the battles happening in the Oz world. I wonder if Baum wrote about battle and wars because it was on everyone’s mind, or as a way to explain it to children. The only complaint: The Patchwork Girl recording had moments where the narrator stumbled or corrected herself. I wish that had been corrected before being published.

A classic

Many theosophical allegories and analogies. These are childrens tales writeen 1900-1915, some negative reviews dont seem to fathom this fact unfortunately.

titles are pretty self explanatory in regards to whom or what the book you are about to hear will regale to you

overall fun series to read/listen to. however I started to loose interest after the 6th book especially since it's evident the author wanted to bring the series to an end after book number 6 almost pleading to the reader not to ask for anymore books about oz. book 7-14 are cute and fun especially for young kids if you are looking for a good bed time story. I still favor books 1-6th and highly recommend this series for those who also have a deeper interest in learning more about OZ and all the characters we grew up watching in the movies.

A somewhat decent collection of classic series

While I will admit that the different narrators vary in quality, there's not really much to complain about here.

Has Recording Errors and Omissions

The voice acting is fine. These stories are so bizarre which really is no one’s fault but Baum’s.

But for god’s sake. So very very very very many recording errors. Whole swaths of story are omitted as a result. I’m not sure how something so error riddled can be available for credit use / cash purchase.
