From the moment he sees the young woman's body in her hotel bathtub, homicide detective Jack Murphy knows he's looking at a truly demented but brilliantly designed puzzle. She's been drained of blood. Missing her left hand - and the killer left a special message just for him. Hours later, he sees her severed hand arranged on a second victim's body. The newspaper has the gruesome details. The FBI has a theory. But only Murphy knows how hard he'll have to push - and how much he'll have to risk - to thwart the killer's twisted game.

The plot is great you do not know for sure who the killer is until almost the end

the storyline is great

Narrator is very good! Nothing was mispronounced, pauses and inflections were correct. You can tell he read it before he recorded it. (A poor narration will ruin a book for me.)

Fantastic book

I still enjoyed this book. I will definitely go on to the next. The narrator was great.

Not as good as the first but...

Eric Martin narrated this, from his voice to his delivering was excellent! Looking now for more from author/narrator

Wow what a fantastic book!

Love the different feeling of the cops in this series. I could feel the way the writer made them click and joke together in the extremely tense situations. Even secondary characters were well written (and not very nice) Good amount of twists and turns to keep interest in the storyline.
Narrator is quickly becoming one of my favorites to listen to with great cadence, decent voice differences for the different characters and clear breaks.

Good ending
