Publisher's Summary
He thought he'd left the fighting behind him in Afghanistan. He never, in a million years thought it would find him in his own back yard. What is a warrior to do when the law can't protect them?
The first book in this new action-packed thriller series introduces us to Sergeant Roger O'Neil, former U.S. army ranger and decorated combat veteran of the global war on terror. After years of fighting al-Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan, he returns home to Montana just to find that home is no longer the safe haven he once thought it was. On a winter trip to his late grandfather's cabin in the Montana Mountains, Roger must save his family from a gang of ruthless killers by reuniting with his combat-hardened buddies for one final fight.
Former Special Ops Sergeant Roger O'Neil thought it would be a simple winter retreat with loved ones in the vast Montana wilderness.
He thought wrong.
He had no idea there was something much more sinister in store for them when he stumbles on a lone drifter hiding in the forest behind his mountain cabin.
What is he doing there?
What are his true intentions?
Meeting the strange man sends Roger's life into a tailspin and puts a target directly on his family's back when they become hunted by the Aryan Brotherhood. With their lives threatened by an unforeseen criminal conspiracy and the law unable to protect them, Roger calls on the only ones he knows can help him; a group of gun-toting former special operators with itchy trigger fingers who'd love nothing more than an excuse to wage war.
Their mission - deliver their own unique brand of violent justice.
It's a race for time to defend the defenseless and save his family from the clutches of a gang of sadistic killers.
Will they succeed?
Or will they simply fall victim to an extensive criminal underworld?

I agree - great story and well read!
Loved it! Although i'm in the Corps - I love a good tale of any Spec Ops group. This one was fun - and I'm a bit of a sap and loved the Family aspect of it too. I agree with another listener - that someone who leaves a 1 star review because of the narrator after listening for 20 minutes is not a real review. There's something else going on there... This is a good book and Archer did a great job. Loved the book and will purchase the next in series when it comes out. Rock On Rangers!!

Army Rangers know how to take care of business!!
There are some great battle scenes but this story is mainly set back home in the Cold Montana Mountains with a band of Army Ranger Brother vets - that have to deal with a very bad element of some very bad people - and keep family safe. Their superior training and tactics really kick some butt. I love this story and look forward to more with Roger and the Rangers.

Very Entertaining Story and Well Read!
I purchased this title at the recommendation of an Army buddy. I loved it. I thought the story had a lot of great elements - some great battle scenes - some family - some Ranger Brothers doing what they do best, kicking butt - and some real moments of honor and bravery. I read a review earlier left by another - and he said 20 minutes in he had to stop listening.... Look - to each his own - but there is a 5 minute sample to listen to and you can clearly tell if you like a narrator from a sample... Why buy a book after listening to a 5 minute sample only to stop listening after 20 minutes and leave a bad review? That's just mean and it's messed up. What's worse - Most of his reviews are 1 Star - Hmmmm... this doesn't help anyone at all. and something is just not right there. Hey i call a spade a spade. These reviews are supposed to be helpful. Anyway - great story and I can't wait for the next in the series. Hope this helps someone a bit more than what some people leave.

Loved the story, great thriller.
Roger and his Army Ranger brothers remind us of why Rangers are such a special breed of men. The story is filled with love of family, discovery of what’s truly important in life, true bravery, and strength in the face of death, and a thrilling roller coaster of action and adventure. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for number 2.

Love, Honor, Bravery, Brotherhood - Loved it!!
As a US Army airborne combat unit Veteran, I love Military Fiction. Some can be very heavily one-sided on combat and not much to the story. Not the Case with this Story though. This has action for sure - but this book is also something special though - with a deep story of Love, Honor, Family, and Brotherhood. I especially liked that it begins with a scene from the main character's childhood - in the Mountains with his Grandpa - in a snowy cabin. I loved every minute of it and thought it was very well performed by B.C. Archer. I will be onboard for this entire series!
