An American narrator for a totally English story!? Why??!

Not a bad story but totally ruined by an American narrator. The book is entirely set in the south of England with many local phrases and words being comically read by the narrator. He sounds like a Scooby Doo baddie. I recommend reading the book. Don’t bother with the audio.
