Publisher's Summary

In the snowy Highlands of Scotland, Suzanne McBride is dreaming of the perfect cozy Christmas. Her three adopted daughters are coming home for the holidays and she can’t wait to see them. But tensions are running high…

Workaholic Hannah knows she can’t avoid spending the holidays with her family two years in a row. But it’s not the weight of their expectations that’s panicking her - it’s the life-changing secret she’s hiding. Stay-at-home mom Beth is having a personal crisis. All she wants for Christmas is time to decide if she’s ready to return to work - seeing everyone was supposed to help her stress levels, not increase them! Posy isn’t sure she’s living her best life, but with her parents depending on her, making a change seems risky. But not as risky as falling for gorgeous new neighbor Luke…

As Suzanne’s dreams of the perfect McBride Christmas unravel, she must rely on the magic of the season to bring her daughters together. But will this new togetherness teach the sisters that their close-knit bond is strong enough to withstand anything - including a family Christmas?

Terrible Narration

I’m from Washington State near Seattle and I could not stand the way the narrator said Mt. Rain-ee-eh. Do some research, especially since the character Luke is from the Seattle area and the narrator tries to have an American accent for him. The narrator also does a terrible high pitch, over dramatic, nasal voice for the kids. The narrator was terrible. The book was light and easy which is what I was looking for.

Nice feel good story

I struggled to finish it. Predictable happy- ever- after fairy tale.
Nothing worth writing home about.

Slow at first but picks up

I really enjoyed the book. My mother gave this book to me to read after she finished it because she said it reminded her of me and my two sisters. It's slow at first I almost stopped reading it but she encouraged me to continue and told me that it got better. She was definitely right. The book picked up and started to get interesting! I really enjoyed reading it! I highly recommend it!

I just couldn’t get into it

I ended up having to exchange this one. It was dragging on for me with several characters and it was hard for me to stay focused long enough to keep everyone straight.

Better Then I Thought

I wasn't sure if I'd like this book, because I worried it would be too cheesy. It's just right: sweet, sentimental, and full of sisterly spirit.

Warm & cozy.

I was looking for a heartwarming book for the season and this fit the bill. Some of it was predictable but there was some mystery to it and I enjoyed that.

Great Book

Most of these books are super predictable, but I was surprised by quite a few things in this book! The kids voices in the beginning almost made me stop listening, but so worth the listen! Great book!!

Grab a hot cup of tea & sit by a warming fire...

Mandy Weston does a wonderful job with narration. It’s a sweet story that makes you want to put on fuzzy socks and cozy up by the fireplace. The story gets a bit repetitive 3/4 of the way in but once you punch through that, it gets back to holiday feels. A pleasant holiday treat.

An OK Christmas story

There is some sex and some cursing but it wasn’t the worst book I’ve read. It would have been a lot better if it had been cleaner contact, but it was still an OK Christmas story.
