Klien leads Fimdeer, Arpeggio, Moonbones, and Valrus (not Walrus, Klien) through a portal into the center of the Winter Court of the Fey. They do battle with an Outsider who slits throats in a flash, survive, and help heal their new Winter Fey allies. Navigating the treacherous formalities of Court, they finally meet with Mab (Mab... Mab..) and find out the Winter Knight has been sent on a mission to recover a stolen artifact.
