The story of a dog stolen during the Alaska/Yukon gold rush and how he transitions from pampered pet on a large estate to musher on a dog team. It's a great story but may be too violent for children and those sensitive to animal abuse. The reader, as my title indicates, comes off as a complete amateur, as does the production as a whole. There are other narratives and productions on Audible that are much better.

As I read and listened to the call of the wild, I never really understood the point or the goal. It was honestly pretty depressing. Overall, I definitely wouldn’t call it my favorite book.
