A special signed limited edition of the new thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Michael Connelly follows Detective Harry Bosch and his new partner as they investigate a recent murder where the trigger was pulled nine years earlier.

In the LAPD's Open-Unsolved Unit, not many murder victims die almost a decade after the crime. So when a man succumbs to complications from being shot by a stray bullet nine years earlier, Bosch catches a case in which the body is still fresh, but all other evidence is virtually nonexistent.

Now Bosch and rookie Detective Lucia Soto, are tasked with solving what turns out to be a highly charged, politically sensitive case. Beginning with the bullet that's been lodged for years in the victim's spine, they must pull new leads from years-old information, which soon reveal that this shooting may have been anything but random.

In this gripping new novel, Michael Connelly shows once again why Harry Bosch is "one of the greats of crime fiction" (New York Daily News).

Would you listen to The Burning Room again? Why?

No. Narrator was terrible and monotone throughout

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes

Would you be willing to try another one of Titus Welliver’s performances?

Absolutely NOT

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No

Any additional comments?

Yes...Michael Connelly should offer an apology to fans that had to endure the worst narration ever. There was no emotion, nothing to the reading. It was boring.

Sad but I will not ever listen to another narration by Welliver

LOUSY Narration- Bad Choice

Would you consider the audio edition of The Burning Room to be better than the print version?

Another great Harry Bosch book and I am always sorry to come to the end, not knowing when his next book will be available. One of my favorite authors.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Kept me listening.

Which character – as performed by Titus Welliver – was your favorite?

Not much character definition by voice differences.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Two mysteries for the price of one.

Any additional comments?

Harry seems to have mellowed, yet remains steadfast in doing things his way.

Connelly continues his mastery.

I stayed away from this one for a year because of the bad reviews of Tits Welliver. That was a mistake. He personifies Harry Bosch. Loved it and the Crossing was even better.

don't believe the naysayers

Would you listen to The Burning Room again? Why?

The Burning Room does not have the depth of character or plot that previous stories about Bosh had. My first listen, Nine Dragons, narrated by Lou Carlou, really got me hooked. He was the voice of the character. I don't hear the depth of the detective in Titus.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Although the plot was interesting, a really good picture of the characters was missing.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narrator could have shown more emotion.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Will Bosh burn out?

Any additional comments?

This book seems to have been written to fill a television episode or two and not to tell a story to engage a reader.

Bosh seems to be missing

.....but it's still a Harry Bosch Story. seems to lack the flow of most of the other books in the srries. time for me to move on to the next book. I'm running out of Harry Bosch books quickly.

Not the best Harry Bosch Story.....
