Story
It’s been a year since the events in Niagara Falls. Things have generally gotten better in the wasteland and civilization is starting to take hold along the rivers. No one knows where the Librarian is, or if he’s alive, but there’s a man and a mastiff running passengers from Hannibal to Cairo that might have an idea as to what really happened. Life is starting to return to normal along the river if you don’t count the pirates and the sea monsters. But all of that is about to change and the end of the world may never be the same again.

Join the Librarian as he does his best to make the post-apocalyptic world a better place by protecting the weak, fighting injustice, squaring off against a group of former renaissance fair workers who have established a kingdom in the Rocky Mountains, and so on. Publisher's Summary
Raised from birth to be a force for justice, Damian Stockwell has spent his entire life honing his body, mind, and fists to combat the evils of the world. He travels the globe on a quest to confront those evils and punch them in the face. At his disposal are a vast fortune, an endless array of gadgets and an army of friends including Bertrand, his loyal and lethal valet.
The Triple-Barreled Edition includes three of Damian Stockwell's most harrowing adventures:
Horror in Honduras (Book 1)
Stockwell’s friend has gone missing in a Central American jungle and the only clue left behind is the grotesque image of a demonic tribal mask. The mystery will take Damian from the concrete jungles of New York City to the untamed wilds of Honduras - with a brief altercation in the armpit of Lady Liberty - as he races to the rescue.
Join Dam and his trusted valet, Bertrand, as they rush headlong into danger and go face-to-face with evil incarnate to save their missing friend from the Horror in Honduras.
Terrors of Tesla (Book 2)
On the eve of World War II, Damian Stockwell’s old friend, Nikola Tesla, delivers grave news. The plans to his greatest weapons have been stolen and the forces of evil intend to use them against America. His patriotism inflamed, Stockwell begins the hunt for the missing plans. The fight will pit him against two evil empires as he goes up against homegrown Nazis and mystical Ninjas that seek to conquer the world.
The Mechanical Menace (Book 3)
On the eve of tomorrow, Damian’s own invention has run amuck causing terror at the 1933 World’s Fair. To discover who is behind the malevolent mishap, Dam must travel from the dangerous streets of New York to the political hotbed of London and on to a deceptively picturesque perfumery in France. Sinister forces are at work and Stockwell soon finds himself facing off against unseen enemies and evil robots as he and his loyal valet, Bertrand, races against time to stop The Mechanical Menace.

Fun adventure!
I loved listening to these books! Lots of action, adventure, and plenty of humor. I could easily picture what was going on as if I were watching an action movie and the humor reminds me of the show Archer. Great characters and intriguing mysteries kept me hooked. Amazing narrator! I loved all of the different accents and attitudes he had for the characters. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

A clean, action-packed crime adventure series
Audiobook review If you like both the shows Archer and Dragnet, but would prefer less of the R-rated aspects (language, violence, sexual innuendo) of Archer and more of the wholesome writing of Dragnet but with the adventure of Archer, this is probably the book series for you. If you like your stories to have more violent grit, language and blood, this is going to be a bit on the light-side. Think if Captain America and James Bond had a baby, it would be Damien. It’s the crime fighting-ish aspect of Bond, but with the over-the-top patriotic, straight laced Captain America. We follow the life and crime-stopping adventures of Damian Stockwell through this series. The writing and reading both mimic the old 50's style cop shows and voice overs from said tv shows and radio theatre. This is an enjoyable book for almost all ages! While there are definitely fights and killing, they aren't gratuitous in their descriptions with most violence being alluded to, or described as actions. There's no "as his knife slides out of the body blood pulses..." type of stuff. It's all pow pow, bang, falls to the ground style. This is a PG/PG-13 clean crime-stopping action series with locations all over the world. The narration of this book is fantastic. Eric Bryan Moore does a great job with dialect, emphasis and character. Like I said before, it was like listening to an old crime/detective radio show. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this honest, unbiased review.

Definitely credit-worthy!!
For a book with a line in its opening chapter that reads "three beautiful children and two ugly ones," you know you are in for something different and that is exactly what you get! Whether you conjure up images of Indiana Jones or James Bond, or heck, even Batman, Damian Stockwell is an unforgettable character that needs to be experienced!! The narrator is insanely good! The character and the stories are a bit over-the-top but the narrator never makes you think cartoony. He makes the characters and the situations three-dimensional and real. I took my time with this listen because it was just so unique I wanted to savor it. I'm kinda sorry the adventure is over.

Fun , witty and engaging
I went in this series blindly and wanted to listen to it because the narrator , who is one of my favorite narrator. I am surprised by this books in this series . It’s fun, edgy and witty sarcasm. Benjamin Wallace is a new Author for me but I really enjoyed his writing style. This was a perfection made in heaven . Benjamin imagination and Eric’s narrations kept the magic alive and made the characters jump off the pages and keeps the listeners hooked . Loved the pace of the story. It keeps the listener engaged and captivated throughout. This was my first book by Benjamin Wallace but definitely won’t be the last . Would be reading/listening more books by this author.

A complex story with over-the-top humor and wit!
If you are a fan of the “Damian Stockwell” series of books, things could not get better than to have all three of his initial adventures in a single audiobook box set. Here you can enjoy “Horror in Honduras”, Terrors of Tesla” and “The Mechanical Menace” in this single edition called “The Bulletproof Adventures of Damian Stockwell: Triple-Barreled Edition”. I never knew I wanted a triple-barreled weapon until listening to this series. If you have not yet listened to any of his adventures, you are in for a treat and surprise. This was my initial dive into his adventures which are well-crafted and authored by Benjamin Wallace. The audiobook edition was skillfully and professionally narrated by Eric Bryan Moore. If you are like me and you need some escape from the same genre of audiobooks after a while, having something new and less weighty to listen too is important. In this case, for me, humor and satire can be like a breath of fresh air. Each of the three stories are light-hearted, humorous, and full of wit. But the book is also complex, well-defined, and even touching at times. One cannot really enjoy the depth and complexity of stories like these until you come to the realization you are already hooked and have to listen to more to find out what is going to happen. Even the author’s use of alliteration in the titles and throughout the books is something that cannot be passed over. In places the books can feel a bit overly slapstickish, but the author does a very good job of balancing this out via situations, action, mystery and wit. At times things ooze with a level of cheesy 1970 Batman TV show antics minus the POW!, BANG! and other bubble art. There are bits of the movie “Airplane!” rolled in as well. Yet, you begin to see that the stories are written in a way that is cohesive even when at first, they seem a bit chaotic. The stories characters all have a purpose and personality as the books progress. The actions they take, even when over-the-top, feel right and grounded. The characters interactions feel true to who they are. I also enjoyed that some characters bridged across books in the series. Characters are only the tip of the iceberg when compared to the wonderful painted scenes the author created along with the numerous levels of technology at the hand of our main character. Damian, like Bruce Wayne of “Batman”, seems to have unlimited toys at his disposal allowing him to escape nearly any situation. Here again, we have a man who appears to be strong and stalwart still vulnerable and caring. Even though he knows he is the best hero anyone could ever imagine, he is still kind and sensitive to those who hold to his high standards of justice. But you would not want to be on the other side of his beliefs as those who come against him often regret their decisions in the end. As I said earlier, the books writing appears to be high-level and humor focused, yet the humor is memorable and at times can take a few seconds to get. There are plenty of one-liners that could easily be extracted from this series and used to make others laugh. I did not often find myself laughing out loud, which is not a bad thing, but I did find that a smile would often creep in as I was listening and began to understand the situation or how it was going to be resolved. It is hard to write smart and witty humor, and I think the author was successful at that with this series. I do not often point out an audiobook’s artwork in my reviews, but I did want to say that I was rather impressed with the cover art. It seemed to represent the character and his ever-present assistant to a tee. I do have to wonder why the author of the books looks very similar to Damien on the cover… The narration of all three book was clean of any audio artifacts (background noise, swallows, or page turns) and the volume of each was consistent. The narrator was able to impress me with his ability to voice and remember the vast number of characters along with their accents. Each character felt unique and alive giving each more dimension as well as zany behavior. I can say that I was pleasantly surprised by the level of professional narration in each of the three books based on the total number of books narrated to date. I can say that I will be looking forward to hearing more from this narrator in the future. For parents and younger readers, there are quite a few innuendos and a few bits of crude humor. Also a few areas discussing alcohol and drug use. However, I do need to give the author credit for his limited use of vulgarity throughout all three books. I can only recall one or two words (in the second book) that may not be appropriate for younger audiences. Other than that, the book is rather clean of mature material. Many of the jokes or satire may be above younger listeners, so I would think the target audience would be teenager and above. In summary, I was not sure what to expect when I began listening to this series. Once I got in and really saw how smart and complex each of the stories, characters and situations were, I found I enjoyed it very much. The audiobook’s narration was on par with many of the more well-known and reviewed narrators, and I have to give him credit for bringing this overbearing hero and all the other characters to life. If you are looking for a new series to start and you want a bit of wit and satire, give this set a try. dont make me laugh
I was marketed this as a comedy, I have yet to laugh once... cringe, lots... laugh, no... Damian Stockwell, spy? Adventurer? Both? I was never fully clear what he was. I kept imagining a captain america type man who was so old fashioned the nursing home looked like elementary school compared to his way of thinking. Felt bad for the so called "friends" he had and his butler... Honestly I made it through the first book and may go back for the other two at a later time. Not that the story was bad, just the characters take some getting used to, but that just maybe my view on it. He seemed so full of himself and was created as so perfect with a huge personality flaw. This maybe the most truth in this world then I thought ha. He was sought after by movie companies, they would send new up and coming starlets to his house with gifts to try and get his story... he would return the gifts and send the actress's home the next morning.. as in he slept with them... for a guy with a high since of morality, sleeping with women who are probably there against there will is not a good idea..he even jokes with a Scottish man about having leprechaun magic... so not only is he a misogynistic man, hes racist, but super hot and skilled so that makes it alll ok, and how hes super lucky... I can kinda see what the author was going for, old fashioned Private eye type.. but I feel Damian was cranked up so high that it makes it unbelievable and unlovable... Anyways, the story was good, I liked the science and magic angle, the betrayal and twists... main character, garbage... story great :D I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audio book by the author, narrator, or publisher, and it's my honest opinion because I read reviews as well and wanna know if a book is worth my time...

Predictable, but fun
I received this audio book at my request in exchange for this review. The story, while predictable, was still fun. It's hard to tell if the MC is supposed to be a James Bond type, or an amalgamation of Bond and Indiana Jones. The humor in the book seemed forced at times, but nothing that made the book unenjoyable. I am a fan of Wallace's other works, and this one just seemed lacking in comparison. As for the performance, i just can't find the right words. Moore was just perfect! He is able to move effortlessly between dialects and voices at the drop of a hat. My only complaint was that his reading style seemed more suited to a noir style mystery than a superspy (?) epic. All in all, it's definitely worth a listen. It is funny, and not a bad way to pass the time. Just don't expect a really deep and involved storyline.

Silly entertaining story
You have a hero who is oblivious to his social environment and manners but he always finds a way to save the day. The stories are entertaining and there is some humor built in. "I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

fun adventure story
i was really on my toes as to what to expect from this series ... and i loved it. It is a fast-paced read with adventures lurking in every page and chapter. It has me laughing out loud. As i listend to the audible version, i have yo say the narrator, Eric Brysn Moore did an excellent job. his various accents an storytelling gave the story depth i dont think my own reading would have achieved. in short, i recommend the book, especially the audible version.
