Publisher's Summary

A paintball battleground. A wrestling mat for sleep-deprived new daddies. A feminine product aisle in the local drugstore. These are some of the places where men connect...at least in The Bromantic Comedies.

A compilation of humorous and heartfelt plays exploring what it means to be "masculine" in a world where men are supposed to be tough.

Erin Mallon does it again! She has turned me into a huge fan of Audio Plays! This Audio Play has 6 short 10 minute stories and they are all so unique, funny and so witty. Each Play is completely different and each one has it's own eye opening meaning layered underneath all the comedy and outrageousness. I enjoyed them all so much but I have to say Domesticated was probably my favorite because I laughed so much but when it was over I felt like I got it completely. I will be listening to this Audio Play over and Over again for sure.

Now let's discuss this incredible cast of narrators!!! Joe Arden, Jason Clarke, Shane East, Lance Greenfield, Teddy Hamilton, PJ Ochlan. 6 amazing narrators mixed and matched so well and they ALL do an awesome job at playing off each other. I loved all of them in this work but I also watched a Live chat with Erin Mallon and each of these narrators on Instagram (@mallonerin) and I loved this even more once I heard these guys talk about the plays they narrators and what they thought of the characters and the meaning of each play. So much fun!!!

Not sure what that was, but I couldn't finish

I gave up. Even Shane East and Teddy Hamilton couldn't overcome the bizarre script.

so much good in such a small package

How did such short plays give me so many feels? Wow. This set of shorts was funny, sad, thought provoking and just overall amazing. I was left wanting to know more about these characters. I want to see their next move. All six narrators were amazing. They all played two very different characters and they did then flawlessly. I am a huge fan of all these men, but I have to single out Lance Greenfield for my MVP. He blew me away. Erin Mallon has one again delivered fantastic material and gave it to the perfect cast to perform. So good.

A funny and heartwarming audio play from one of my favorite narrators, Erin Mallon. She has created a quick listen of 6 short plays that will leave you entertained and a smile when you are finished. She has chosen 6 of the greatest narrators to help with her plays. Joe Arden, Jason Clarke, Shane East, Teddy Hamilton, PJ Ochlan and Lance Greenfield do an awesome job bringing her characters to life. Loved this listen so much. Highly recommend picking up this audio.

Not Enough Words

I literally snort laughed through the begining, help my mouth open in the middle, and cried through the end. It is short, and will take you through life in a blink.

Pure Joy!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this! If you are any bit of an audio fan or if you just like to have laugh. I was laughing from beginning to end. Erin Mallon has this exceptional ability to make you laugh but also gives such a hear to it. Even in these ten minute plays she still made you feel it. All of the narrators were incredible in this. Every single one of them.
Jason is always a win no matter what! He can do anything!
Joe is given 2 characters that are perfection for him and he does them so good. All I'm saying is "Savior Stick!"
Shane you play the new dad so good, I loved you so much in that one! You had me cracking up!
I am putting PJ and Lance for last because to me they were the show stealers. PJ has become someone I just adore and that is literally all because of Erin Mallon. He plays every role so perfectly. The devious cat and the uncomfortable guy in the grocery store. I want to hug both of them.
Lance I love you already. But you as that fish. Was the best thing in this entire thing. You were unlike anything I've heard you and played it so well even to the end. I hope to get to hear you in more comedic performances.
Do yourself a favor and listen to this ASAP!!!

Quirky, Strange, Wonderful

Each of these plays was absolutely unexpected, and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to them. Sometimes they are odd, disturbing, and different, and THAT is what makes these great because in the midst of the comedy true vulnerability comes through. Like any good comedic piece, these plays hold a mirror up to us encouraging the listener to look closely at themselves, at the raw, beautiful humanity in others. I laughed and seriously teared up. These plays won't be to everyone's tastes, but I don't think that should stop anyone from listening to them. Very well done!

Awesome Bro-ness in 6 amazing plays!

I absolutely love everything Erin Mallon writes or narrates. She’s written several audio plays and this one does not disappoint. I would love to spend a day or two with her when all the creativeness is flowing to see how she puts all of these hilarious ideas together.

The Bromantic Comedies has six plays with six different male narrators sprinkled throughout. Joe Arden, Shane East, Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton, Lance Greenfield and PJ Ochlan. While all these guys are known in the Romance novel world, it was great hearing them use their comedic skills. Together, all the plays were roughly an hour and half. I laughed so hard throughout the whole thing. I had to pause a couple times to wipe the tears from my eyes. Each play has such a different and unique take on things. From paintballing to a neutered cat to babies to the feminine hygiene aisle.

And the two minutes of bloopers at the end? You can tell how much fun the six guys had recording this. This has just been released and I can’t wait for the next genius thing that she releases.

Wonderful selection of male-centred stories

I had no idea Erin Mallon, in addition to being a fantastic narrator, is an amazing playwright! This short listen is packed with six stories about what it means to be a man. Some are funny and satirical, emotional and human, and one that took me by surprise. I actually listened to it twice because-the first time around, I was excited to hear the stories, which the narrators gave lots of energy. I loved them! From paintball at Man Camp, to a crazy dialogue between cat & fish, to Baby Fight Club, and my favourite, a heartfelt discussion between two men in a pharmacy. Joe Arden, Jason Clarke, PJ Ochlan, Lance Greenfield, Shane East, and Teddy Hamilton all do an outstanding job of bringing these characters alive in all their manliness!

Thanks to Erin Mallon, who gifted me a copy of this outstanding piece of work. My opinions are my own, freely provided.

Absolutely brilliant

Erin Mallon is such an amazing playwright. I love her plays. They always bring more than you expect. Take these six short plays for example. You expect them to be funny and entertaining, and make no mistake, they are. But they are also thought-provoking, and at times, emotional.

We tend to have such singular views on what masculinity is and these plays give us chance to not only view it differently but actually think about how we view it and why. And how we can view it differently.

Performed by Joe Arden, Jason Clarke, PJ Ochlan, Lance Greenfield, Shane East, and Teddy Hamilton. These guys all bring something unique to the stories they are performing and these plays give them a chance to showcase skills we very rarely see from them on their romance narration. I laughed. I cried. I sat and thought about things. I jumped in a chat with my best girlfriends to discuss. Absolutely brilliant.

What a pleasurable listen!

I love Erin Mallon’s plays and this was no exception All the narrators did an amazing job and I had plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. My favorite of the bunch was BABY FIGHT CLUB and Teddy Hamilton’s performance in this one was the best for me too. Runner-up was DOMESTICATION. But in all honesty I liked all six plays a lot. It was a nice sidestep from my romance listening and (eye-ball) reading
