Story
It's totally normal to fall in love with an audiobook narrator's voice, right? Right. Just ask Vera, who listens to "her" guy whenever and wherever she can: while driving, working, parenting, cooking, cleaning, showering...you name it. But now, she's bringing him into the bedroom. And her husband is less than pleased.

My name is Calliope and "I bone for a living." Kidding. I am studying to be a paleontologist though. It's the only thing I've ever wanted to be, and I have finally landed the perfect museum internship to make all of my dino-loving dreams come true. Trouble is, everyone wants me to be a gentle, loving sort of creature, but I'm more of the T-Rex type by nature - the kind who is determined to stomp and tear her way through any obstacle in order to get what she wants.

As a pro athlete, I’ve spent my life playing by rules, on and off the field. Especially this one - don’t date another baseball player. Following that ironclad rule has been as easy for me as hitting a lazy pop fly on a summer afternoon. Especially since I’ve got far too much trouble in my past to want to bring any into my present. Everyone on Main Street has been talking about Evan Hunter, the British movie star who’ll be filming on location in our small Pacific Northwest town for a couple of months, and all I have to say about that is: “Who?” When he shows up two weeks early to escape the London paparazzi after breaking up with some starlet, all I want to know is: “So?” When he walks into the gym that I manage for my dad and brothers, to start training for the action scenes in his movie, I’ll admit I do say to myself: “Hmmm...”

Picture this - I’m ready to win back the love of my life, and I’m going big this time. We’re talking boom box, sing her name in the rain, let the whole damn neighborhood know I'm good and ready this time around. After all, if you're going to grand gesture the ever-loving hell out of a second chance, you need to pull out all the stops. There’s only one little problem. My college girlfriend isn't the one who shows up when I play my "I'll do anything to win you back" tune. The woman who flings open the second-floor window tells me my ex doesn’t live here anymore.

Being a hit man has its perks, but I never thought getting an accidental mooning by an attractive PI while he’s caught on a fence would be one of them. While it’s not exactly love at first sight, he’s captured my interest and won’t let go. Suddenly, I find myself caught in a game of cat and mouse, determined to attract the attention of Jackson, the PI who should be my enemy. He pretends like he’s not flattered by my flowers and the mentions of my totally-not-fictitious blow-up doll, Randy (or was it Dandy?), but I know better.

Nothing good ever comes from drinking a box of wine alone. So when I decided to entertain my drunken self by setting up some hand-me-down podcasting equipment and reading the steamy parts from romance novels, I never thought anyone would actually listen. The fact that I admitted my huge crush on my sexy next door neighbor made the whole thing even more mortifying. But sometimes life surprises you, and that’s how my podcast, Heidi’s Discount Erotica, was born. Now I, Heidi Larsen, a sweet former kindergarten teacher in Waconia, Minnesota, lead a scandalous double life.

Erin Mallon does it again! She has turned me into a huge fan of Audio Plays! This Audio Play has 6 short 10 minute stories and they are all so unique, funny and so witty. Each Play is completely different and each one has it's own eye opening meaning layered underneath all the comedy and outrageousness. I enjoyed them all so much but I have to say Domesticated was probably my favorite because I laughed so much but when it was over I felt like I got it completely. I will be listening to this Audio Play over and Over again for sure.
Now let's discuss this incredible cast of narrators!!! Joe Arden, Jason Clarke, Shane East, Lance Greenfield, Teddy Hamilton, PJ Ochlan. 6 amazing narrators mixed and matched so well and they ALL do an awesome job at playing off each other. I loved all of them in this work but I also watched a Live chat with Erin Mallon and each of these narrators on Instagram (@mallonerin) and I loved this even more once I heard these guys talk about the plays they narrators and what they thought of the characters and the meaning of each play. So much fun!!!

How did such short plays give me so many feels? Wow. This set of shorts was funny, sad, thought provoking and just overall amazing. I was left wanting to know more about these characters. I want to see their next move. All six narrators were amazing. They all played two very different characters and they did then flawlessly. I am a huge fan of all these men, but I have to single out Lance Greenfield for my MVP. He blew me away. Erin Mallon has one again delivered fantastic material and gave it to the perfect cast to perform. So good.

Pure Joy!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this! If you are any bit of an audio fan or if you just like to have laugh. I was laughing from beginning to end. Erin Mallon has this exceptional ability to make you laugh but also gives such a hear to it. Even in these ten minute plays she still made you feel it. All of the narrators were incredible in this. Every single one of them.
Jason is always a win no matter what! He can do anything!
Joe is given 2 characters that are perfection for him and he does them so good. All I'm saying is "Savior Stick!"
Shane you play the new dad so good, I loved you so much in that one! You had me cracking up!
I am putting PJ and Lance for last because to me they were the show stealers. PJ has become someone I just adore and that is literally all because of Erin Mallon. He plays every role so perfectly. The devious cat and the uncomfortable guy in the grocery store. I want to hug both of them.
Lance I love you already. But you as that fish. Was the best thing in this entire thing. You were unlike anything I've heard you and played it so well even to the end. I hope to get to hear you in more comedic performances.
Do yourself a favor and listen to this ASAP!!!

6 short funny plays with fantastic narration.
This is a collection of 6 short funny plays written by the super talented Erin Mallon. Erin started off in the narrator booth and has released a number of plays that have been devoured by the romance community.
This collection includes a hilarious man coaching session at man camp. A conversation between a cat and a fish about procreation. Baby Fight Club! A guy buying tampons for his wife. A couple of guys chatting about puppets and another couple of guys on dialysis talking life.
This merry band of narrators smash these plays out of the park. The sound engineering on them is phenomenal giving you a high quality audio experience all around. And I can’t forget to mention the bloopers because everyone loves to hear them. Hear the hilarity when these guys just can’t get their words out!

Wonderful selection of male-centred stories
I had no idea Erin Mallon, in addition to being a fantastic narrator, is an amazing playwright! This short listen is packed with six stories about what it means to be a man. Some are funny and satirical, emotional and human, and one that took me by surprise. I actually listened to it twice because-the first time around, I was excited to hear the stories, which the narrators gave lots of energy. I loved them! From paintball at Man Camp, to a crazy dialogue between cat & fish, to Baby Fight Club, and my favourite, a heartfelt discussion between two men in a pharmacy. Joe Arden, Jason Clarke, PJ Ochlan, Lance Greenfield, Shane East, and Teddy Hamilton all do an outstanding job of bringing these characters alive in all their manliness!
Thanks to Erin Mallon, who gifted me a copy of this outstanding piece of work. My opinions are my own, freely provided.

Absolutely brilliant
Erin Mallon is such an amazing playwright. I love her plays. They always bring more than you expect. Take these six short plays for example. You expect them to be funny and entertaining, and make no mistake, they are. But they are also thought-provoking, and at times, emotional.
We tend to have such singular views on what masculinity is and these plays give us chance to not only view it differently but actually think about how we view it and why. And how we can view it differently.
Performed by Joe Arden, Jason Clarke, PJ Ochlan, Lance Greenfield, Shane East, and Teddy Hamilton. These guys all bring something unique to the stories they are performing and these plays give them a chance to showcase skills we very rarely see from them on their romance narration. I laughed. I cried. I sat and thought about things. I jumped in a chat with my best girlfriends to discuss. Absolutely brilliant.

I love Erin Mallon’s plays and this was no exception All the narrators did an amazing job and I had plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. My favorite of the bunch was BABY FIGHT CLUB and Teddy Hamilton’s performance in this one was the best for me too. Runner-up was DOMESTICATION. But in all honesty I liked all six plays a lot. The wit, sarcasm, comedic timing of Ms Mallon's writing and the way in which the narrators played off one another made it an audio I didn't want to stop. These narrators certainly knew how to bring Ms Mallon's characters to life.
Of course I did have my favourites, Thick Gnat Hands - Shane East and Joe Arden were brilliant, Domesticated - Lance Greenfield and PJ Ochlan were hilarious, who would have thought a cat and a fish could have such an entertaining conversation, and finally Invasion At Man Camp - Joe Arden and Jason Clarke were superb.
This certainly put a different spin on how conversations between men are viewed. The bromance between each pairing and in each tale was totally unforgettable. The Bloopers - thank you so much for including those, it's always fun to see that narrators don't always get everything right on the first go.
This audio cannot be missed.
