Publisher's summary

Tanner never thought he'd be back in Amber Pines or back in Dash's bed.

But four years and 1,000 miles wasn't enough distance to make him forget the power of first love. Sure, he spent his time training with one of the world's top Hunters and he's no longer the scrawny teenager he used to be. But now that his former pack is threatened, Tanner is again involved in the dangerous life he thought he left behind.

Do Tanner and Dash have a second chance or has his werewolf made his heart as impenetrable as his body? With an all-out battle raging, Tanner must find his place in the new Amber Pines or be shut out forever.

If you're looking for Teen Wolf meets Queer As Folk, you'll love this book.

M/M romance

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the two main characters... Tanner and Dash... Although same sex romance is not my genre of choice, it is still an enjoyabe audiobook to listen to

short shifter story good narration

Tanner and Dash were lovers years ago, but Dash’s overprotectiveness drives Tanner out of town. Now he’s back for a funeral and Dash is in his life again.

Dash has to come to grips with the fact that Tanner can stand on his own, or face losing him all over again. Tanner has to let Dash do what his nature calls him to do.

There’s a mystery surrounding the Alpha’s death and still a lot of danger to navigate before these two find their HEA.

**

This was a wonderful (if too short) novella about reconnecting with one’s first love.

There’s a bit of world-building, some smexy times, some violence Wolf style and a bit of a mystery.

In short, it’s got a bit of everything!

I enjoyed this and hope to see more from Amber Pines, CO.

(I always love reading/listening about my home state!)

Audio

Gus Klondike does a great job with this narration. He’s fierce and snarky at the appropriate times and has an easy-to-listen-to narrating style that lets the story unfold.

I recommend this to fans of shifter romances with 4 of 5 stars

Decent

The story did not meet my expectations. I felt like it was too short and lacked a lot of details. But there were some times were the extended details just didn't make sense. For the first in the series. It was an ok experience.

Cute m/m shifter romance

Why the bad reviews? This was cute... I totally liked it. I hope audible puts the rest of the series on here. First,if you don't like m/m romance...when then don't listen to this... and second, if you don't like sappy shifter books, when you know the couple will eventually get back together... THEN DON'T LISTEN!!! DUH!!!

Anyway... I loved the two main characters... Tanner and Dash... Tanner was all tough human guy in the beginning...but O NO.... once your back in Dash's neighborhood...he got all sappy again... CUTE!!!

There was a pretty decent shifter clan vs. rouge shifters scenario going on... but other than that it wasn't a WOWZA story... but well worth the listen...

I enjoyed it..

Worth a buy or sale... Save your credit... this is pretty cheap... under 5 bucks!

Love!!!

I have a soft spot for gay paranormal romances. That being said this one really worked for me. I instantly connected with Tanner and found myself hoping for his happiness. My only wish is that there was more....
