Derek is in town for three months for a job. He has every intention of enjoying the sweet little resort town of Bear Creek, Colorado while he is there. When a noisy neighbor has him leaving his apartment early in the morning,, he runs into another neighbor, Tessa, also running from the X-rated symphony coming their mutual neighbor's apartment. They immediately hit it off. Tessa offers to show him around and soon they are surrendering to a mutual attraction. But Derek's time in town is limited and Tessa's roots in Bear Creek are too deep. Will Tessa be able to go on with her happy life without the boy upstairs?

I got this book in a giveaway. Since it was narrated by one of my favorite narrators, Connor Crais, I decided to give this new (to me) author a try. What a delightful surprise. The Boy Upstairs is a sweet but very steamy story of people finding THE ONE, even when they are not looking for them.

I particularly loved how low angst this story is and how the story develops. I am certainly checking more of Amanda Shelley and also the All American Boy series.

The book is a standalone, but the series has 16 books in a shared universe. Scenes and characters may crossover.

Narration: Connor Crais never disappoints and Vanessa Edwin is a wonderful Tessa.

The boy upstairs

The beginning of this story cracked me up and i also felt sorry for the next door habitants. The early morning activities, long stamina. Thats how Derek and tessa meet. Derek coming to bear creek to help a client with his business. This is a cute small town romance. I am sorry this took me a while to review this.

5 Star fantastic!

The Boy Upstairs was my first book by Ms. Shelley and it will definitely not be my last. I really enjoyed this super cute and sexy story about a local bar owner/brewer and her hot upstairs neighbor. Sparks fly the moment they meet and despite their initial agreement, they became so much more to each other than they expected. They are so playful and fun and Derek is swoony!
Vanessa Edwin and Connor Crais are fantastic in this book.

Quick, sweet and steamy romance!

I really enjoyed this audiobook. It’s a sweet and steamy neighbors-to-lovers romance. Plenty of swoon, sweetness, and spice. Conner Crais and Vanessa Edwin narrate and did a fantastic job.

Fantastic!

Amanda Shelley is a new to me author and Connor Crais was a new to me narrator. I've listened to Vanessa Edwin before and she's one of my favorites. I thought the story was good, well written, and engaging. I immediately felt connected to the characters and loved the humor of the book. I will definitely be checking out more of her books including the other books in this series.
The narration was fantastic and really brought the characters to life. This book was done in dual narration style and Connor and Vanessa did a wonderful job!

Sweet romance!

I loved this book! It had two strong characters, great chemistry, spicy romance, minimal angst and an HEA. Oh, and excellent narration!! I would absolutely listen to this book again!

This story about Derek and Tessa is too short for me! But I really enjoyed the story !

I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet love story. Two independent people meet & agree to a fling while trying so hard to NOT fall in love. Low angst, no triggers & narration was excellent. I'll definitely listen to this author again.

A wonderful story

The Boy Upstairs is a wonderfully written story; it's sweet but steamy and humorous with a highly appealing and relatable cast. A temporary, three-month job sends Derek to a new town, Bear Creek resort in Colorado. He meets and bonds with his downstairs neigh - US Tue Dec 22, 2021bor Tessa over a shared dislike and annoyance of their very loud and inconvenient neighbour. Sparks fly, and immediately a connection is formed. However, Derek's temporary stay in town becomes an unwanted dilemma, and try their best not to fall in love.

Vanessa Edwin and Connor Crais did a fantastic job with the narration. They both depicted the characters perfectly while making the story even more engaging. The Boy Upstairs was a delightful listen, one I'll definitely recommend.

Sweet Love Story

I liked the story. It's quite engaging and interesting. It's a very easy listen. It's low-angst. No triggers. It's a just sweet love story between two people with great chemistry.

The narration definitely helped with the that great chemistry. Their performance was excellent. I'd sure listen to them again.

Lovely romance.

A sweet and spicy romance that is infused with humour and emotion. From noisy neighbours 😀, to an affair with an expiration date, both Tessa and Derek have fun and games while firmly spending time in the land of Denise. I loved the time spent in Tessa's var and with Derek's family, an experience enhanced by the excellent narrators, Vanessa Edwin and Connor Crais. They are both expressive and warm in delivering performances which kept me reaching for the audio at every opportunity. Fabulous! 💖💖💖💖💖

Loved it!

I enjoyed the story and the characters. Connor Crais is an awesome narrator! It's a short story but not at all short on bedroom heat! Would love to read more by Amanda Shelley.

Complete story in a novella length

I liked this this novella felt like a complete story and that the events in the book were spread out over a few months. Short stories can be hit or miss for me, but I liked this one and would rate it 4.5 stars compared to other novellas. It was my first book by Amanda Shelly, and I'm interested in reading more of her work.


Connor Crais and Vanessa Edwin did a fabulous job with the narration, and I'm sure that I liked the story more because I listened to the audiobook.

I love this book! I fell in love with the characters and even their friends and family. Low angst. As good as this book is the narrators made it even better. The narration was fabulous in bringing these characters to life for me. I definitely recommend this book! 🎧 Audiobook Obsession
